A very simple fix to the original bribe system. It allows talking to members of the faction while ceasefire.
-- This is where unnecessary reasoning starts --
I found it a bit frustrating that you have to abuse disguise in order to befriend other factions. IMHO, there's more sense in some probation period when you CAN openly come to faction's members and help them with their tasks, leaving disguise with distance restriction, as it's meant to be. Sidenote: while under ceasefire, all members of the affected faction will talk to you, even if they're not squad leaders. Lore explanation: this is due to your strong will to make a reputation among this group. IRL factor: I'm completely new to stalker modding and just made this tweak for myself. Feedback is welcomed.
All credit goes to the authors, I've just added a few lines.
Download the archive and unpack it. Choose:
Drag'n'drop the 'gamedata' folder into your Anomaly directory, accept replace if it asks to. If installing via Mod Manager, place BFF under BSE addon and accept replace.
v. 1.2 - removed bribe cost changes for compatibility concerns: this mod now won't change dialogs.xml and st_dialogs.xml, thus it is now compatible with almost everything, including NPC Bartering.
If you think that bribe costs are unbalanced, you may change some numbers there by yourself. Maybe I'll add an option with rebalanced costs later.
v. 1.1 - Increased bribe cost (for balance reasons), now bounty squads of bribed faction shouldn't spawn while ceasefire. Also added version, compatible with Bounty Squads Expanded addon.
v. 1.0 - Release.

Important note - affected faction will still be enemy for you, this is supposed to be like that. But they will act like neutrals until you attack them or the ceasefire ends.
Very interesting and helpful mod. I hated the disguise system anyway. Thanks man!
Thank you! Hope you enjoed. If something went unexpectedly, please, let me know. It's very few changes but there's a chance I've missed something.
I liked the fact that you could quarrel between two groups in the disguise system, for example, I quarreled with mercenaries and Freedom.
So this mod basically lets you talk to enemy factions while bribing the barman to enter their territory, as opposed to vanilla system where they shoot you if you get to close?
Yup, definitely this.
Good mod! But now you can raise ceasefire price due to it buffed.
Thanks! I've actually done some but didn't post it yet, generally because it changes widely used dialogs.script. I will add an optional version with increased prices later.
The only problem I found with this is when a ceasefire happens but they still sic you with a bounty, the bounty squad then follows you around but won't shoot you and you can't shoot them unless you care about the penalties because they appear neutral.
Hm, didn't even take this into consider. Will try to figure something but I'm afraid my skill won't be enough for this. If I succeed, I'll upload new version.
Do you know if bounty squads are pulled by enemy faction while ceasephire? Maybe it's vanilla mechanic since I didn't touch anything relating to bounty squads or relations.
I checked again, it seems that we become enemies again after I shot some bandits for a quest, seems to be a base game feature. It's just that it's the first time I encountered a bounty squad that wasn't hostile because of a ceasefire.
Yeah, if they are sent to you while ceasefire they won't shoot with this mod and you can't shoot 'em cause of penalty. I've uploaded the new version that slightly changes conditions for bounty squads spawn, but it needs testing.
I'll test it out and come back here for feedback
Polite yet passive aggressive bounty hunters? Now I've seen it all! :)
Check out the newer version for fixed bounty squads spawn, or leave the older one for more fans chasing you :)
Could You make this compatible with Rowan's Bounty Squads Expanded? That mod changed many weird aspects of this feature, vanilla bounty hunters often came after me equipped with exo but paired with beretta ...
Yeah, I'm using this addon too. I'll add a compatibility patch later today.
UPD: Uploaded compatibility patch, please redownload the archive.
a small but really useful addon, credit to you bro
Can you make it compatible with the modular miscellaneous tweaks(the talk with all people thing)
author please make a patch for the Anomaly NPC Bartering addon
Sorry for necroposting, but since I've decided to discard all changes in dialogs.xml and st_dialogs.xml, the mod is now compatible with almost everything, including NPC Bartering.
Anxious to test this one! I'll report if I see anything outside of the ordinary.
Found out that the "st_dialogs" text file has translation issues. it has changed all the " ' " into the word " пїЅ " meaing if someone says the word " I've " it turns into "IпїЅve" i have gone on ahead and fixed this. i will provide a dropbox if the creator wants to just slide it in.
Dropbox.com
hope it saves you some time.
I noticed this too, not a big issue right now but im glad someone went ahead and fixed it for the dev of this mod already lol
Hey the file you linked is gone and the creator of this addon hasnt added the fix in, would you be able to provide a new link? I would really love to use this addon with your fix.
Hi! Sorry for the delay, but in case you'll start a new game/are still playing, I'm happy to say that addon now won't change any dialogs and thus there won't be any translation issues (which I might have while creating files for the eng version in the previous version of this mod).
Awesome, I use Bounty Squads Expanded and am going to test this out!, I was one of the many players who used and abused the Disguise system to potentially join enemy factions via doing quests while disguised and gradually getting into neutral reputation. Only other way aside from that was to work up rank for a faction neutral to the one you want to join that's rival, that way you could then approach them as a different faction member and neutral party.( Example : Loner wants to join Mercenary, work up rep with Ecologist and join them to be neutral with Mercs and start working up rep to join Mercs ) With this now we can simply buy a ceasefire, and do some tasks while it's ongoing, and do that a few times and potentially change our standing from rival to neutral, or even a positive reputation!. Looking forward to trying this out.
I'm glad my little tweak helped you out! =) Feel free to report any bugs/issues if they appear.
Although it makes sense, the ceasefire dialogue doesn't mention that only the playable character will get the bought benefits and his companions won't. Example: you start as a loner, recruit Hip, buy a truce with mercenaries. Now you can chilly sidestep around them, while your follower will engage every mercenary and most likely end up as a free loot for you.
So it would be great to add a companion to the deal. And/or change the dialogue in which they are mentioned so that the player can make the right decision before committing. If including them is an possible option, would be cool to increase price for every follower as well.
"He's with me" mod might fix that
