Description

Beef's Sidorovich Simulator brings the strange futuristic concept of "Phone Calls" to your 3D PDA. In this first iteration, Sidorovich will occasionally call you to tell you how he feels about your current hit %. Additionally includes tracking of lifetime hit %.

Right now it calls every 200 rounds fired. It'll be adjustable in the future but I haven't got it implemented yet.

If its too frequent for how many rounds you spend, you can increase /gamedata/scripts/sid_is_judging_you.script

on line 40: increase the "shot_count > 200" value to something like 600 or 800

I love the idea, I've been looking for a mod that would bring Lost Alpha's pda conversations to anomaly, makes perfect sense and I never understood why no one has done it anywhere else.

I won't be downloading this since I don't want Sidorovich to judge me when I mag dump my OC-33, but I'll be keeping an eye out on this one.

Single suggestion/question though, I hope you plan to allow making long range calls, in Lost Alpha you could only talk to nearby stalkers which made it more an immersion item than an actual functionality.

Wasn't aware of the LA PDA chat.

I reached out to the LA team to see if I can incorporate the NPC conversation tracking they incorporated. It seems clever. In any case, if I get permission and use their framework it'll suffer from the same problems of "long range" phone calls just due to how A-life functions.

If not, I'll come up with probably a less robust but different implementation that won't have that limitation.

loved it lol, sometimes crashes my game since it is MODDB version but I am surprised it works. Do you make update announcements from discord or here? Because I think it would be nice to see a larger update (like being able to send certain messages at radiochat where all other stalkers talk: such as when you find an artifact saying your thropy etc), it would be nice to see Sid texting you llol

I got permission from the Lost Alpha team to use some of their back-end code in my mod, so that's a huge possibility that I'll be exploring. Unfortunately, I have a lot of parallel projects both in Anomaly and IRL so no timeline yet ...

it would be cool if instead of going back to the quest giver in lots of mission, they would just call you, or better maybe you call them. And if they have some kind of item reward put it in a designated chest or something.... that would be very nice.

That's exactly my plan - I won't include quests if reward includes items, but if reward is just money, then I don't think you should have to travel to them when they can just venmo you some rubles.

I also will include the ability to accept quests via sms / phone call.

As of now, no it isn't - it was more of a proof of concept mod for a larger project that I haven't gotten started on yet. I will update it once I get around to starting on the larger project, since it has some of the scripted functions that I will be using.

very nice however 1.5.1 may have broken some things like the image that is meant to show up, doesnt, and the percentages can be a bit wacky like 133 percent or 6 out of 3 shots hits lol

10/10 mod 11/10 if it wasnt broken, uncle sidorovich remembers to call my more than my own parents
