Description

Three bear models to choose from, including custom sound effects. It spawns individually all over the zone, more commonly in forest areas. Changelog: v1.1 - Increased attack distance and added a third bear model ("mutated").

No unique parts, it uses the boar's loot configs.

Please install the tark addon and only then the bear addon, you should observe which one was released later and this one must be installed on top of the other one ok, and after it you apply the compatibility patch.
Installing the bear before the tark will lead to a CTD since there is no reference to the bear (medwed) in the tark monster table.

Pretty cool addon. I think the attack range is a little too low though. The bear is pretty much guaranteed to miss every attack as long as you keep moving at a simple jog pace. You are only ever in danger if you are cornered somewhere.

Hey thales, I'm having issues with this bear mod working in other Call of Chernobyl based mods that are also very popular. I'm talking about great mods like Anomaly ( Moddb.com ), Road to the North ( Moddb.com ) and Hitman ( Moddb.com ).

For example, I did a fresh install of the latest build of Anomaly, installed some mods (not yet any of your great mutants), started it up, and everything was working fine. I THEN added a new mutant to Anomaly's game directory, in this case, the third bear, the one covered in tumors. When the game went to start, it crashed to desktop. No matter what I try, it keeps crashing to desktop. The only new alteration to the mod was the addition of the great looking mutant bear Addon.

Is there any way by which to alter your mutants' files, so that they'll easily work in other CoC-based mods?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to see these mutants populate The Zone in whatever mod it may be.

You would have to use only the model and texture of the new bear (mutated), renaming the mesh to fit the other mods config files (scripts), otherwise it will most likely CTD.

I manually edited a bunch of files to allow it to be compatible with Dr X's stuff as well as some Tronex mods but I was wondering how I can change its loot drop table?

The bear gives you boar meat, and boar hoves when skinned which makes absolutely no sense to me. I want it to give me chimera meat, teeth, and claws when skinned. As that's perfectly reasonable.

I suspect it's in the m_medwed file, but I can't find the line responsible. Some help would be appreciated.
