I agree; I would like to see the shotgun be made available too.
While working on The Dark Army, I've been working on various shotgun models, originally based on Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory modifications which had custom weapons, such as shotguns. Adding a shotgun to the game is a long and complicated task, but not an impossible one. It simply requires coding skills I still don't master. It would be interesting for me to use the Additional Weapons mod as a base to add this new gun, adding the shotgun by creating a new weapon slot or by replacing one (to be faster), like the carabin's. It would be nice to make it one of these days.
I think that Rtcw needs many more weapon slots, if it's possible. Having some Allied weaponry (American, British, and Russian) would be very beneficial for the game.

Hell yeah; that would be so awesomely nice to one-shot infantry enemies with some bad-*** shotgun.
But you wouldn't want to leave too much shotgun ammo lying around, because the gameplay would be too easy then. Like the Snooper rifle, ammo should be rare.

Just put the shotgun from enemy territory no quarter in
it has the coding for it so just find a way to add shells and your good its a pump shotgun a trench shotgun i used to play enemy territory no quarter years ago i was WFChainGangSoldier Remember Me
it would pick up ammo from field ops saying you pickedup shells i looked it has the shells pickup coding as well bro and pictures
this was my baby in no quarter the Winchester Model 1897, also known as the Model 97, M97, or Trench Gun, was a pump-action shotgun with an external hammer and tube magazine :)
This same shotgun is also included with Jaymod for Wolf ET. It's on the Fearless Assassins server that I frequent.

Can you update this to work with the steam version?
whoever is in charge of this mod why not make a new version updated with the shotgun from no quarter mod and add it for single player with all the other weapons it could use the snooper rifle ammo or shells could be added and it be picked up when you pickup snooper rifle
