Have you done winmerging files ? If not, you need to winmerge items_artefacts.ltx
Put this file from both mods into WinMerge and then extra stuff on the very bottom of file from Artefact hunter has to be copied also to file from Artefact Balance fix mod.

Make sure this is done.

I will check it with Arszi and I will answer. My gut feeling is that even AR is compatible with Radiation O. you just need to know what to do and what to winmerge ...

Alright, today around midnight of my time (in an hour or so), I will upload also one version that will be compatible with Radiation Overhaul. It will be module/version no. 4.

After istalling be on lookout for artefacts Grapes and Chain :) They are very rare artefacts rumored to be found in thermal(fire) anomalies. ;)

This mod it's beautiful, 10/10. But i think that the custom version with Ar + Artefact degradation it's the best, but i think that elemental artefacts and other, should not degradate, only ballistic ones should degradate, basically the opposite as it's now: can we have such alternate version, please? Otherwise, there s no point to use armor inserts, and a beautiful mod like attachments overhaul will be useless, because there are many artefacts that are superior to armor attachments. So, maybe (only ballistic) should degrade at a 1/10-1/5 of the speed of the ballistic attachments when they take damage.

Right now, with a Spike, a Cell and a Jellyfish, and a "well-round" exo "underwear" (not upgraded) i can take dozen bullets without die. It's the same situation as in vanilla, with 1-2 Empy + 1-2Battery. I also think the the Cell shouldn't have any ballistic bonus and maybe have a downside, like -15% stamina regen, for balance reason.

Not all balance could be restored by 1 addon. I plan to bring ABC - Armor balance collection that will together with SUS (upgrade addon by Sparks) restore armor balance, make mid armors usable for much longer and make many armors even more useful or specialized.

Now. before ABC is introduced, you can do at least one small change, hot fix. No armor in heavy segment can have more than 2 artefact slots after all upgrades. You can change heavy armors profiles (Skat, Exo, Exo-light and rhinos) to act this way. It is crude fix, but might work untill more sophisticated solutions will arive. And they will ;)

How can i change armor profile, now?

you can change armor profiles at any time. Before doing that better unequip all artes from arte slots, just to be sure (on your latest save I mean.

Outfit profiles you can find in gamedata/configs/items/outfits.

Game can be unpacked to show all file in Tools in main folder...

Man, I did the calculations finaly, cos I had a hunch that something is off in your describtion. If you use custom version and if you have these artes, then your overall resist on bullet damage is exactly 56 %... Far from complete immunity. So This is nowwhere near vanilla! Not vanila AR not vanilla vanilla!

In vanilla AR you would have in same scenario 70 % resists to bullet damage. In vanila vanila you would have 64% resist. It might not seems much but against automatic weapons it is quite difference.

Anyway, I will compare ballistic inserts from Arti and artes and I might do some small changes to make ballistic inserts to look better in comparison with low tier arte(s).
Edit: and I did comparison and you can find new minor changes also in new version no.5 that will have also ballistic artes degradable even if very slowly.

Now, Friend of mine asked about prices and differences between version 2 and version 4 and this is aswer that I gave him. It might be helpful to somebody.

"Giving you example. In version 2 af_Fire (tier 2 arte) goes for 86k value and in version 4 af_fire goes for 68K compared to vanila price 46k ....
Another example:
In version 2 af_blood goes for 23,2k in version 4 af_blood goes for 23,2K and vanilla Artefact renovation this artefact goes for 30,2K and in vanilla vanilla this artefact goes for 22,2k.

Now I believe I can give you even better insight.

Price 86 000 is from Artefact renovation. Vanilla has fewer artefacts and lower prices (46 000 for af_fire). I opt out for middle road in my custom build. Game-breaking Artefacts has been nerfed (ballistic ones) and prices has been set as middle ground between vanilla and AR as high tier artes are harder to find in AR and especially if you use alternative spawn chances - "addition no 8 (optional) Better fitting spawn rates for Artefact renovation"
I might put this explanation somewhere into comment in moddb ... someone might get additional explanation from that ..."

So my recommendation is to always use if possible version 4 of this mod.

you can check what is going on in addon in gamedata/configs/items/items/ and there are two files with artefacts.

First file has configs for compass and Oasis.

Degrade rate for compas is 0 (mean do not degrade)
Degrade rate for oasis is 0.5 (degrade at half speed)

This way you can check (and adjust if you want) any value of every artefact in-game.

Hi I've got a problem and i don't know if it's a bug or I'm just daft, but my artifacts don't seem to work with containers, as in i cant put them in. I've got an LLMC and an AAC but I can't but a cocoon or scar artifact into either. I've tried right clicking on the containers, no 'use' button appears, and dragging artifacts onto the containers does nothing as well... please advise

Thank you for the addon. Do I need the degradation addon by bvcx when using ver4 for degradation mechanic to work?

If so, is the load order?

Apologies for late answer.

Artefact Balance Fix works regardless of Degradation addon.

But with degradation addon you will have actual degradation of artefact´s prices and some of their utility when you use them. IF you read update on degradation addon it is stated that some of them do not degrade even with degradation addon.

Degradation in Artefact Balance Fix is customized. It is much slower than in original degradation addon.

Also your load order seems to be 100% alright. Enjoy:)

Thanks mate, the addon works perfect. I can only talk about The low tier artifact I collected from southern parts of the map.
They are neither overpowered nor useless. Balanced really well imo. The degradation mechanic works with your addon, albeit it is a little fast for my taste so I can't imagine the speed of degradation without your addon. Overall fantastic job. Keep up the good work.

Sir, I am using the option/version 4 of your addon, which also is compatible with Arszis' Radiation addon; I would like to ask if I could turn degradation off by changing value of degrade_rate (in items_artefacts.ltx) from "1.0" to "0.0"? Would that work?

degrade_rate = 0.00 means degradation is turned off
