Alternate HQ footsteps and falling shells. All sounds footsteps matched exactly with original. Only clean and quality sounds. And additional sounds to basic footsteps.
Old footsteps from Sergeant's is very good. I love this sounds. I notice many sounds from Half-Life 1, Wolfenstein-Quake3, Clive Barker's Undying and some other. Um, no matter). And now I decided to make alternate HQ footsteps. All sounds matched exactly with original. Stone, wood, water, metal and all other. Only clean and quality sounds.
I also made additional sounds to basic footsteps. I wanted to emphasize strength of the hero while walking. Make sounds more stronger and cool. And I made two versions.
A_F_M.pk3
Primary version. Here you hear clang metal from equipment hero. This may boots, clothes, weapon, ammo. Not important what.
I prefer this version.
A_F_L.pk3
Leather. Here you hear creak leather of boots hero.
Choose what you like.
PS: These sounds are perfect suit for voice Doomguy from Doom 3, Daniel Garner and Belial.
Small update. I don't want to make new addon and I just added a couple of changes in separate folder. I also don't want add them to primary addon "Alternate HQ Footsteps".
Here I made alternate HQ falling shells for all pistols, rifles, miniguns, shotguns. Works on BDv20 and Project Brutality.

Anything you can do to add footsteps to the enemies?
My idea was to make a unique and expressive footsteps for hero. Which were not similar to footsteps of enemies. Therefore I don't changed them. But I think about your idea. If I can made quality sounds, I'll added them.
Well. Maybe today I will try do it. I have few ideas. For example Zombie Commandos. New sound and add clang of ammunition belt when walking.
For zombies I'll make. For another demons I thinking. Their sounds good.
Primarily made for PB, after BDv20. There are a lot of monsters. Hope new sounds suitable for both mods.
This would be fantastic! I think DOOM in general would be WAY scarier if you could hear the different monsters walking around....but each one would need to be different...so like the Barons should have horse shoe sounds as an example. Anything you do here i appreciate!!
What I say. Checked sounds and right now I don't know what sounds must be changed. I mean PB. Indeed they sound very good and now I can't do better. Only what I really change - Zombies Commandos and other zombies. But this is too little. I need some time for thinking about all other sounds. But not now sorry. I thought it would be easier.

You did a good job with the footsteps. I like yours because I can hear the coins in the pocket when walking lol!
Thank you). I just love this metal clang). Sounds so brutal when you walking. Everyone decides itself what it is. But on the idea is the clank of ammunition or boots.
Recently I tried to play with alternate version - lether (A_F_L.pk3). Sounds not so good. I think I overdid with volume of creaking leather.
You're welcome. The leather footsteps sound like he's walking in worn out sneakers. But it still sounds in good quality, just not my taste. Personally, the footsteps with the sound of items in the pocket, like car keys, are what I enjoy!
And it's good of you to include the different quality sounds for people to choose. Selection is the key :-)
sounds so nice man nice work, if the games doesn't have the best graphics you can defiantly make it up with high quality sounds like this addon, be cool if you could make the footsteps stop a bit quicker after taking 1 step you get 10 more foot step sounds maybe an update down the track to perfect this addon?

About your suggestion for footsteps. Maybe I something try, but rather is a matter in Sergeant's code for footsteps. I purposely not touch anything standard codes Brutal Doom - it's hard for me).

Hello, do I need Brutal Doom to use it ? Because I check Leather version in ZDL and I heard nothing, both main campaign and custom maps, and I don't have any Brutal Doom or Project Brutality, full vanilla here.
