This addon gives illuminated reticles to the EoTech and Kobra (and some others) sights, For STCoP only.
Hotfix: trying out new shaders for dx9/dx10, they work but the c-more and ac11090's dots might be a little too small.
NOTE: Works for dx8 Only!! if anyone can figure out how to get it working on dx9 and dx10 I would really appreciate it
UPDATES:
- (18/Dec/2018)Added the model for the Tactical AK-74
This addon gives illuminated reticles to the EoTech and Kobra (and some others) sights,
No more 'glorified ironsights'! (I suppose), with this addon you can now take possibly any weapon sight you want for those times you wander The Zone in the dead of night without worrying where the hell you're aiming at because you can't see where the sight is zeroed in.
Installation: extract the gamedata folder to your STALKER installation path. Overwrite if asked

Bug report
getting random crashes with this mod in stalled.
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : <no expression>
[error]Function : CResourceManager::_GetBlender
[error]File : ..\xrRender\ResourceManager.cpp
[error]Line : 60
[error]Description : fatal error
[error]Arguments : Shader 'models\selflight_aref' not found in library.
As you can see it is looking for shader "models\selflight_aref".
But the shader supplied in the actual mod is "models_selflight_aref".
This addon only works in static lighting (dx8) only.
you can try copying the r1 folder and rename it to r2 and r3, I made this with a weak *** laptop so I use dx8
Nice little thing.
In dynamic lighting (dx9 normal) the game randomly crashes.

gamedata updated, you can go ahead and download again.
otherwise you can use a db extractor and then copy the file from shaders\r1 to the r2 and r3 folders
Try to run at any render other than DX8 with this results in a crash stating something along the lines of "your hardware specifications are inadequate" for me. Tried deleting my shader cache, but it's no use.
Anyone using this functionally at renders other than R1?
Yeah, I just can't get it to work on rendering besides dx8, dumb me just thought copying files to the r2 and r3 folders would fix it. Sorry for being such a dumb noob.
You tried to fix something that's bothered quite a few of us for quite some time now, if the comments and downloads are any sign. I'd say that alone is more than good enough.
Hope these and other improvements make their way into the next iterations of the weapon packs.
Here is a fix for the Kobra sight :https://mega.nz/#F!Z01CVQgZ!kzFOBdGnnehBSk1OUQm6PQ!4p811QiT
Unfortunately no fix for the eotech.
Still crashes as soon as you try to aim with sights.

finaly someone care about dx8 user
the Great Swamp, south east
Great job man, working like a charm on DX9. It irked me how useless
most sights were without their illumination, I wish you luck on expanding the mod to cover all weapons!
would you mind help me my stcop 2.9 version all red dot sights are completely distorted. Even after installed this mod the problem persists.
hey, sorry for the late reply, but this addon is only for STCoP 2.8.0.7 for Call of Chernobyl, version 2.9 as I recall is only for Call of Pripyat and has all the dot sights illuminated
This same bug occurs in AO and I couldn't figure out why. Regardless, I think this mod' resources could be used to fix AO if one knew what they were doing. Maybe when I'm feeling up to it, I'll give it a try.
