A simple mod which adds a timer displaying the current run duration and your faction.
Important!!!
- Make sure that you have read/write permissions in your Anomaly or MO2 folder as the mod won't work without them.
- If the timer doesn't update and you have started the game via AnomalyLauncher.exe try starting it via bin executables instead like AnomalyDX11.exe
- Do not use with Moddb.com as both of those mods are supposed to replace each other.
Disclaimer 1
This mod is mostly aimed at streamers.
Disclaimer 2
As there is no real way to get an actual start of an existing run I have to rely on game time to initialize the timer. This time counts the sleeping time as well therefore you might have to use the overwrite function to set the time to a correct value for existing runs. If you are starting a new run or you didn't sleep during an existing run then the time will be initialized correctly. From that point on the addon will count the time on its own so no further issues will take place.
Hotkeys
- Press F11 to bring up the time overwrite panel if you want to manually adjust the time
OBS Usage
- If you are using MO2 then the RunTimer folder will be located inside of your MO2 installation mods/run_timer(or renamed) folder. If you are installing this mod directly then the RunTimer folder will be directly in the Anomaly installation directory.
- Hook up OBS text to time.txt inside of the RunTimer folder.
- Hook up OBS image to faction.png inside of the RunTimer folder.
- The hour counter will grow beyond 24 and at some point might have 3 digits. If you want to have the faction displayed on the right side of the timer then in OBS you will need to scroll down to the bottom of your text properties and enable Use Custom Text Extents option as well as Wrap. After doing that set the text alignment to Right.
- Sometimes you might notice seconds being skipped. This is caused by OBS's file polling interval which is 1 second by default and both the file update and file reading by OBS syncing up causing one file update to be skipped. To fix this issue you can compile your own OBS version and change the interval to 0.5f from 1.0f.
Thanks for the mod, but I was wondering if a similar version would be interesting, but with the disguise system.
If you are a Loner, you have the Loner patch, but if you wear a merc uniform, you have the mercenary patch basically.
I really like these little mods that add a nice touch to the HUD.
The timer mods will be a part of Zone Link Zonelink.net . I might add features like that there.
