Update for 1.5.1 of Ayykyu's Voiced Actor. Install after sound packs included in DesmanMetzger or AyyKyu's add-ons.
[1.0.0] Ayykyu's Voiced Actor Framework update for Anomaly 1.5.1
DESCRIPTION
This is an update of AyyKyu's voiced actor scripts for Anomaly 1.5.1. There's no sound included in that add-on, you have to install it after installing ONE of these two add-ons:
-
DesmanMetzger Russian Voiced Actor (recommended): Moddb.com
-
AyyKyu's voiced actor (english voice, use base framework): Moddb.com
Watch this video explaining what this add-on is doing:
INSTALLATION
Add gamedata folder to your Anomaly folder AFTER installing one of the add-ons above. Example:
Install DesmanMetzger's Russian Voiced Actor > Install this add-on.
CREDITS
Ayykyu's for his awesome framework.
DesmanMetzger for his russian voiced actor pack without which I wouldn''t have done the update of AyyKyu's framework.
This should work with Voiced Actor 2.0 - Monolith, right? All i need to do is install this addon here after the monolith one on Mod Organizer 2?
Yes this should work.
An Easy check is to have a companion and when you open the companion action wheel you should here your character speak.
Наконец-то полноценный русский мат
mate this is updated to 1.5.1 ,,AyyKyu's voiced actor (english voice)" inside there is only for v 2.4 and 3.0
This add-on changes the scripting part which is causing the crash with unupdated addon. It uses the soundpacks of unupdated add-ons.
It's in the description multiple times...
You get whatever voiced actor add-on you like that is not updated, you install this add-on afterwards, poof it works for 1.5.1.
Hi, I put everything as written - DesmanMetzger Russian Voiced Actor (recommended) and then [1.0.0] GROK'S UPDATE OF VOICED ACTOR FRAMEWORK FOR 1.5.1 - But the Character (actor) is silent not a single word, not any phrases. In NZK MOD 3.0 [Anomaly-1.5.0-RC22 + Dead Air Revolution + NZKMOD3.0] - everything worked fine, the character (actor) periodically said some phrases - went alone without partners. Well, something like this. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or is there in the settings what to enable?
I got that as well. And from what i could tell your character seems more vocal when in a group, like when giving orders, reloading (notifying your partners) and of course shouting profanities or confirming kills. When alone however he is mostly silent. I would like it if at least when he is alone he would shout profanities after killing someone. Maybe the author of the fix can clarify if this is how it should behave?
Yes this is how the Ayykyus Framework is working. Check the video.
Cool, thanks for the reply. Then it works as intended, i was thinking i had something interfering.
Hey Grok! One other thing, when using the order wheel in a squad i do get my character yelling an "attention" command but when i select the order like "follow me" or "stay here" he doesn't say anything. I saw in the video that the character is supposed to yell the order. I tried both voice packs. No cigar. Any ideas?
This is because I commented out the most of that script. It was using the old command menu that was popping underneath the new one (the one that you see currently). The wheel command was then super annoying to use and quite buggy. I didn't have the time to check how to make it compatible with the new menu, so I decided to comment out everything and fix this in a latter version.
I see now, thanks for the explanation Grok! Looking forward to the next updates, awesome job so far!
Ibb.co mate i start new game and try to load with this mod on and i am being kicked out of the game, if i turn off it loads the game
For the english voice you only need the sound folder of Ayykyus Addon in the framework folder I think. I mostly tested this with Desman Addon
yet the error pops in "xrs_dyn_music.script". changelog is rather uncryptic in this instance.
I think original mod or this working a little bit uncorrect. Bc game still reproduces original hard breathing sounds when character running or taking damage. mb it's just incompatible with some mods idk
this mod just work on combat? i dont hear nothing when i install
Yes most of the time. Watch the video to get a grasp on the system. If you have comrades your character will speak more.
Dhatri is currently working on improving the framework with voicelines when hungry, thirsty, etc.
awesome!

stack trace:
using DesmanMetzger's Russian Voiced Actor I get the actor repeating lines as stamina gets low, the lower stamina is the louder the voiced line is.
Yeah, I'm getting a similar issue where when I'm low on stamina, not only do I hear double breathing effects overlapping but also hear my character saying the same line rapdily.
With the Russian voice pack sounds keep overlapping one another, is there a way to fix this? I'm using Mod Organizer 2.
there is a way to fix it but it's rather lengthy and time consuming. desman's voiced actor update should have a more up to date sound-script included actually.
Moddb.com
with a Russian voice, the sounds constantly overlap each other
Thanks for making all these awesome mods.
I also have the problem with the russian voice overlapping all the time. Also I'm using the Radiation overhaul, problem is that this guy won't shut the hell up talking CONSTANTLY when you're heavily radiated (radiation works in a whole other way, so you're often irradiated to some degree).
Is there some way to turn down the frequency when irradiated, maybe even turn it completely off as it's unfortunately very annoying? I like using voices (especially in hectic combat situations), but I may have to not use voices because of this.
this add-on does not add any voicelines for being irradiated. radiation overhaul maybe does.
again i'd highly suggest using desman updated voicepack:
Moddb.com
it also has a more up-to-date voice script file in which some of the trigger intervals have been adjusted.
Oh actually I was wrong, it was because of the low stamina that my guy was spazzing out vocally lol.
It's the exact same issues the users above me has described, as I am using the russian voice addon you are referring to unfortunately.
i think i know which voiceline you are talking about. i spent quite a bit of time to make the intervals more fitting in Desman's updated voiced actor add-on. yet again the voice line i think you are (rightfully) annoyed with is plainly 1 second too long compared to the rest of the stamina sounds. i'd like to think that i did make it better yet i realized to make it fully functional one would have to add a another script call for stamina values e.g. between 50% -75% with longer intervals so the cut-off wouldn't be as jarringingly noticable or respectively the voiceline would only trigger on light to medium stages where you could set longer intervals (pauses) between script called sounds.
alternatively: you can check "\Anomaly\gamedata\sounds\characters_voice\player" and look for the file "exhausted_1.ogg" ( at least i think you mean that one). you can rename or delete it and there shouldn't be too much trouble.
you might have to adjust the poolsize of available sound files in the script if it throws you an error.
If you are getting overlapping sounds, that is because DesmanMetzgers Russian Voiced Actor mod has been updated to work with 1.5.1 and, in theory, doesnt need this mod anymore
very true. actually using this together with desman's voiced actor will break some (lots) of the sound functionality in desman's mod.
