This man is unstopable, cranking out addons every 2 days!

Hmm...for me it doesn't change anything. Movement speed always remains the same. No conflict with other mods. I'm using my EFT Medic mod and Outfit Speeds addon. But EFT doesn't conflict, and the Outfit speed mod shares almost the same speed.script (only difference is some uncommented debug outputs). I didn't investigatze the scripts yet, but I'm pretty sure it's nothing on my end.

YOu've got a typo in the Grok_gotta_go_fast.script:

gotta_go_fast_srpint

That's the issue :)

Ah ****. I uploaded the wrong version I guess ?

Let me fix this :)

EDIT: hum actually the typo doesn't affect how the addon is working. I'm still correcting it.

Be sure to change the proper speed you want to modify in MCM.

Without MCM the addon only provides a 5% speed boost to both run and sprint.

It's compatible with other speed addons.

That's weird! I do use MCM. I've restarted the game, changed speeds several times. Finally after I fixed that typo it started working. Maybe a coincidence..?

Oh man, what a nice addon! You know, you read my mind. These days, I was just thinking how it would be good for a character speed mod.

Thanks a lot!

Edit: I'm using MO2, Anomaly 1.5.1, with Anomaly Mod Configuration Menu. Everything is working fine, thanks!

I'm getting a strange behaviour. Regardless of any change in the speed, I can sprint a few meters, then it stops, I get hurt and the sound of when you fall down from a height. What could cause this?
I have no other movement related mods isntalled except armor movespeed, but you say it's compatible...

Cause you shouldn't increase the already fast sprint to some enormous value ;]

hehehe. To be fair, I first wanted to see if/how it works, before changing into Flash. But I never got that far, as I have not yet changed anything and I instantly get that "error"

can you add walk and crouch speed multiplier too ?

Not sure it's supported by speed.script it's based on ; i.e. compatibility issues incoming most likely.

That's a good point though.

Hi, Since changing walk speed would likely cause issues. Is it possible then, to add bindings to switch run speed from value A to B and viceversa? This seems like a suitable fix but my programming skills are basic.

Really nice mod, i love that you can customize it to the littlest amount that you want so its not immersive breaking. But i will say when you go to shut down the miracle machine in lab x 16 it causes your game to crash, not sure why but after i disabled it it stopped crashing.

Is there any way this mod could also change the gravitational effect of some anomalies that pull you in based on how much movement speed you gave yourself so that they remain just as deadly?

I'll most likely never look into this.

This urgently needs a patch to work with Grok's Health System Redux. Unfortunately, they don't work well with each other.

Edit: Grokitach, yeah, I just came from testing your mods, and I believe I've found out the problem.

The limbs effect provided by Health Redux install conflicts with Grok's Speed. intuitively, I believe the specific effect that conflict is the limping leg, when the player is shot in the leg.

When I installed Health's Redux without Limbs Effects, Grok's Speed started working again.

I'm using MO2.

Please define "don't work well together".

The conflict is normal and harmless. Last time I tested, everything was working fine. I even combined armor speed effects + limping + Grok Gotta go fast.

Set Grok Gotta Go Fast speed to x3 and tell me that limping is cancelling the speed boost and then I'll check...

Well, I'll try to elaborate. Since the only mod that MO2 says that has a conflict with "Gotta go Fast" is "Health Redux", at least with my personal list of active mods, this would indicate that between the two of them is where lies the issue I'm having.

When the two of them were active, whenever I started a new game, the character's speed would go back to normal, no matter how much I'd mess with "Gotta go Fast" slides in the MCM.

When I went to reinstall "Health Redux", I noticed the effects that the player can choose to come with it. Very nice effects, I must add. Really adds to the realism, and since this community it's a lot about immersion, these effects are really, really welcomed.

For the sake of testing, I reinstalled without effects (another cool thing by yourself! Giving the player the option if he wants or doesn't want the effects. The mark of a good modder!), and this time, "Gotta go Fast" functioned nicely.

That summons my experience. If in your experience this issue isn't happening, then it must be something else in my list of mods. I'll find it eventually. Maybe my version of MCM is outdated. I believe Raven updated it, and I haven't downloaded the new version.

Grokitach hi! I'm trying to use this cause eft medic item overhaul changed the actor movement speed, and it recommends this addon to change it... could you be so kind to tell me what is the default/vanilla speed for run and sprint? thx in advance!

x1 is default speed. I'm not the author of EFT Medical Overhaul, I don't know how he changed this. Ask EFT Medical Overhaul author.

That's why I'm here too. It must be a change in the zzz_player_injuries.script file, it says so in the patch notes. However I can't identify which lines of code change it since I don't know scripting.

zzz_player_injuries.script changes actor speed when legs are damaged.

Without damage it doesn't change actor speed.

Hi! I really like this mod, but the moment I set the run speed high the character immediately started panting like if I was sprinting. I don't see any conflicts with my other mods on MO2. Should your mod be loaded before or after MCM? I don't know which mod could be causing an issue with this. Thanks!

great add-on,also works perfectly for the version 1.5.1.
I recommend that to increase the default speed just a bit, otherwise you will ruin the game. 10/10 thanks
