This is a remake and homage to DM-Rankin from UT2004 made by Sjoerd 'Hourences' De Jong. This was always my favourite map for that game back in the day, and soon after the Quake 2 Rerelease arrived and I started mapping, I felt that I wanted to make my own interpretation of it to help me learn the tools and mapping in general. I started the build around October 2023 and got the basic blockout and playtesting finished, but then shelved it until March 2024. I finally finished the map in April 2024.

INSTALLATION:Extract to your Nightdive Studios\Quake II folder. You can either run it in its own folder (rankin) alongside your baseq2 folder (this is much cleaner), or extract the files into their relevant baseq2 sub folders. If you choose to run out of its own folder, type "game rankin" and then "map rankin" in the console to play.If you extract to baseq2 then simply type "map rankin" in the console to play.In both cases, type "deathmatch 1" in console first in order to activate deathmatch mode, and the command "addbot" to well, add bots.
NOTE: Make sure the installation folder is the same as everyone else you're choosing to play with (probably best in baseq2 for this)
GAMETYPE: Deathmatch or Duel
RECOMMENDED # OF PLAYERS: 2 to 4
