This tutorial will teach you how to use Tunngle on a basic level, and how to get it and TE to cooperate.

Due to an upcoming contest *winkwink, nudgenudge*, I am required to teach you all how to make Tunngle successfully work for you. In the past, we have used LogmeinHamachi as a form of VPN to connect with other players, but since Hamachi has limited its connections to 5 people per 'room', we need to upgrade.Tunngle is a free to use VPN provider with room sizes that can go up to 200 people. This is good, because it is much higher than 5.

[Tutorial]:
1: Download the latest version of Tunngle. Tunngle.net
2: Install Tunngle. This step has the potential to be tricky. Half way through the installation, you may need to port forward your router. Tunngle usually does this for you, but on some rare cases it doesn't. If it doesn't, you can go to any generic port forwarding tutorial.
3: Restart your computer.
4: If you do not already have a Tunngle account, create one now Tunngle.net
(Note the link isn't working for some reason. Go back to the download link, and click 'create account' in the upper right hand corner.)
5: When you start tunngle, the interface can be very confusing, but over time, it actually becomes very intuitive. Once you have logged in, there will be a lot of random tabs that serve no importance unless you plan on using Tunngle further down the line. I will not be covering their purpose.
6: On the left hand (<--) side of the universal interface, there will be a list of game genres under the Tunngle Network Explorer. Click on 'Stratagy'.
7: To the right of the Network Explorer, a new tab will open titled 'Networks' At the bottom of that page, will be a 'Refresh' button, a '<<' button that will be greyed out, a number that says '1-25 of XYZ', and a '>>' button. Press the '>>' button until you reach '51-75 of XYZ'.
8: From here, scroll down untill you find the Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - Tiberium Essence game room. Double click, and it will connect you.

[Tutorial pt.2: For those who use Hamachi]
If you have used Hamachi before, and it is currantly installed on your system, keep following these instructions. If you have never used Hamachi, skip to Tutorial pt.3(This also assumes you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7. Sorry XP users. I can't help you.)
9: Open up the following directory: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center
10: You will have 3(or more) networks here, under 'active networks'. One will be Local Area Connection 2, another will be Hamachi, and a third will be Tunngle. If you do not have the Hamachi network, you can skip to pt.3 now.
11: Beside the Hamachi network (right side), there will be three groups. Access type, HomeGroup, and Connections. Beside Connections, Hamachi will be blue. Click this.
12: This will open a new window called Hamachi Status. At the bottom of the window, there will be a 'Disable' button with a shield icon. Click this, and when prompted, enter your password if applicable.

[Tutorial pt.3: Applying to C&C]
13: Open C&C3, TE 1.51 mod.
14: Open the settings menu, under options. Click on network.
15: Where it says 'Online IP' Switch that to 7.xxwhatever numbers follow this. So long as it starts with a 7, you're good.
16: Click on multiplayer, then click network, and you'll automatically join the LAN lobby.
17: Pick a name in the upper right, talk to anyone else in the lobby, join a game, and have fun!

So Hamachi turned off is not enough? Well, maybe that's why Tunngle didn't work for me.
