Before even getting started, you need latest version of CheatCommands Mod.
Please see downloads section for obtaining the latest version of CheatCommands mod.
Method #1 (Regular Shortcut):
1. Extract contents of the downloaded .zip archive to your Company of Heroes 2 install directory and create a new shortcut to RelicCoH2.exeCoH2 Install directory Reference ImageOne way of making a new shortcut:
-Right click on RelicCoH2.exe and select Send to -> Desktop (create shortcut)
-Default path to
Company of Heroes 2 install folder in Windows 7 is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes 2\
-RelicCoH2.exe is located in this folder.
2. Right click on your newly created shortcut. Select Properties.
3. Add
after the last quotation mark in Field called "Target" under "Shortcut" Tab. Notice the space before last quotation mark and -dev.
Example:
4. Press Apply and OK
5. Double click the shortcut to launch Company of Heroes 2.
Usage:
Press Control + Shift + F1 for main help page.
Note! Do not use grid keys as they will break CheatCommands Mod hotkeys.
Method #2 (via steam GUI):
1. Goto your steam games collection, right click
Company of Heroes 2 and select Properties.
2. Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
3. Enter "-mod cheatcommands" without quotation marks and click OK.
4. Close the game's Properties window and launch CoH2.
Usage:
Press Control + Shift + F1 for main help page.
Note! Do not use grid keys as they will break CheatCommands Mod hotkeys.
Notes:
1. Do not use grid keys. CheatCommands Mod is incompatible with grid keys. Please use classic hotkeys instead.
2. Windows 8.1 Users: There have been some issues reported regarding Windows 8.1 and CheatCommands Mod. A guest user got it working by doing the following (direct quote):

Try using Method #2. Make sure there are no extra spaces.
i try that to cuz i bought it from steam but it still didnt work
Make sure there is a folder called "CheatCommands" and a file called CheatCommands.module in your CoH2 root folder. Note: In case you are using Windows 8.1, there are currently some issues with running mods on W8.1.

yea that seem to be the problem i have window 8 pro when do you think this issue may be fix
A Guest user posted a possible solution for Windows 8. Have you tried it yet? You can find this in the bottom of this tutorial.
I used both methods; method 2 first, I pressed play, all I get is "App is already running" but no game start. Method 1, I created the shortcut, I followed it to the dot, making sure there isn't a mistake. I keep getting steam is too busy to process request. I tried this twice to make sure.
All files are in correct places. I checked everything and all I can say is that, it's probably because of Win8.

I'm glad you got it sorted out by yourself! I've heard about issues with Windows 8.1. The way you got it working just doesn't make any sense though.. there is no -dev mode currently available. Thanks for posting though. I will let the others having issues with W8.1 know about this.
didn't work for me though.
It's not quite working for me, I have windows seven and installed the files and put them in the right spot, however the game fails to start up. I changed the target in the directory to the right text.
Is there something I might be doing wrong?

i have tried everything i don't think i have windows 8 (im sure of it) i have tried method 1 it just gives me bugsplat and method two wont work its says app is already runningI have tried what the guest said and it still dont work. Any ideas?
You should not try using this mod at the moment. Relic disabled mods with the latest patch. Please see latest news for more information.
Nope nothing works, tried the second method, doesn't work, tried the first method, neither, when I launch the game on Steam it always gives "Updating Company of Heroes 2" and when the "update" is done, it just closes without launching, if I launch again, the update comes back again

I don't really get the picture, so i need to make another folder named "CheatCommands" or rename the ccm downloaded folder to that, and where did you get the CheatCommand.module file ??
2. You should now have a folder called "ccm" in your Company of Heroes 2 installation folder. You can now move to the next step which is running the game in -dev mode.
3. Go to your steam games collection, right click Comapany of Heroes 2 and select Properties.
3.1 Under the General tab click the Set launch options... button.
3.2 Add "-dev" without quotation marks (Make sure to leave space between additional tags such as "-nomovies", i.e. "-dev -nomovies") and click OK.
3.3 Close the game's Properties window and launch Company of Heroes 2.

I have a problem too. Whenever I start the game through steam it says its launching, then once it disappears it pops up again. It repeats this and never starts the game. Ive tried lots of ways like "-mod cheatcommands"
"-dev -mod cheatcommands". But it continues to do this. Help?
Edit: Ok i got it to launch but its still wont work. im not sure the way i did it this time was it couldn't find it so it didn't work? The new way i did it was "-dev -modcheatcommands" "-modcheatcommands" without the quotation marks. Is there anything i can do to fix this?
Where is the "CheatCommands.module"???

There is no more module file. The ULE versions do not use the module anymore. To use the mod just extract to the COH2 folder, add dev to the target (or Steam launch preferences) and when you are at the menu press Control + Shift + ~ (to the left of 1) then type in the following:
dofile("ccm/ccm.scar")
That should load the mod.

you can get CoH2 really cheap on Kinguin.com.au it is a legitimate site for discounted keys for Steam/Origin/Uplay/Battle.net. I have made multiple purchase on this site myself and it is really legit and I am very suspicious of game key sites as there are ones out there that sell keys that won't activate.

first of all, Thank you for this mod. It is difficult to obtain a working trainer due to the excessively frequent updates this game receives on Steam.
Is there a command for invincible units? I would like to know that. if not, could it be added to the next update of the Mod?

when I install the mod and set up the parameter in my shortcut, Steam won't run the game. It spends 3 seconds preparing to run the game and stops its run script prohibiting the game to start. I guess Valve discovered this mod and blocked it as Steam despises cheating. :'(
and good luck finding an up-to-date trainer. it seems like the game is updated on a daily basis and I believe that is for the sole purpose of prohibiting trainer use.
I believe we as gamers have the right to cheat on this and any other game as long as it is in single-player and not at the expense of other players.
For Windows 8, I launched the game with Steam, with -dev in the launch parameters, then while in a custom match I did Shift + Ctrl + ` (Tilde key) to open console. Which then I copy and pasted "dofile("ccm/ccm.scar")", and it worked for me.
Im getting a odd issue. added the -dev in steam properties, dropped the ccm file into the dictionary. start the game, "Company of Heroes 2" background screen shows for a few seconds, minimizes into my start menu. refuses to stay up. so~...now what?
