This tutorial will show you how to create a 3d skybox inside Valve's Hammer Editor. The tutorial is very straight forward and fairly simple. Enjoy.

Well, I could already make them, but this definitely showed me a few quick tricks to help out. THX dude.
Instead of making the whole new little skybox though, it's easy to just select the whole original box, make a copy, and scale it using a proportional decimal in the Z axis. If not Z try the others. I believe .0625 is 1/16th of the original size, easiest placement is below the original map. This just makes it easier to tell where to put your boxes and what not.

i got the problem now.it was because i have cables between my computer and tv so i can play on the TV. i had made so you saw the videos in the TV instead on the computer :D

well done pretty much the method i already used but nice anyway. i was wondering though. how do you use the alternate sky textures? the default is sky_wasteland02 and its really boring i would like to use some of the other sky textures that are available. sorry if you covered that in your tutorial and i missed it.
hey sorry you did cover that in your video. i guess i dozed off or something when i watched it the first time. i think the lighting error is something to do with that sky texture. i got the same problem when i opened the console.
The error was caused by me mis-typing the name of the texture for the skybox. My bad :P

Okay, I've downloaded this twice just to ake sure...
After extracting this rar file, everyhting seems fine
and I can play it and everyhting, but there is ONLY audio!
What's up wiht that? What goes wrong?

You probably need the Xvid codec.
Im wondering what do I need to eb able to see this video? I need to learn how to do 3D skyboxes.
Download VLC media player (Google it) and use that to watch this and any other video file with no problems.
