Towns is a Dwarf Fortress-like game that currently has a little less depth than its spiritual successor but a much more friendly interface. It is currently a work in progress, so new features are still being added, but it already is quite fun in its current state. Looking forward to seeing what additions the game's creators will come up with.
A good mix of ideas here, and fun to play. Still stuff to come, so that's good.
Currently the graphics are inconsistent and not particularly clear. Basic movement feels terrible because there is so little friction; everything feels ethereal. All the sound effects are echoing as if all the combat is taking place in a big concrete box.
It also doesn't store it's configuration and saved-game files in the correct places.
Get it while it's cheap. The single-player will last you about 8 hours in its current state.
Great work so far, really impressed. As it's still in alpha I expect a lot of awesome things from this game in the future, but I'll still list my main gripes with it as it is now - it might help.
The interface can be a bit clunky, maybe enable the mouse so that people can get around quicker etc.
Some things seem buggy(which is to be expected with alpha ofcourse!)
such as the blue goo gun, you can trigger team mates goo and kill them by accident very easily.
There are some other little bits that need ironing over but I'm sure you guys will sort it out with the coming releases. Well done!
I have been in the warhammer mood for a while now and I was surprised at how few 40k games there were. I stumbled upon this game and had a great amount of fun with it. This game is enjoyable for any Warhammer 40k fans. If you are not a fan I think you probably wont enjoy this game as much. The modles are not that good or the map textures and structure. Also the 2 servers are almost alwayse empty. However there still is alot of fun multiplayer action gameplay to be found in this little empty mod if you have the patience to wait for players.
In desperate need for a level editor, and a free-form mode that just lets you have fun rather than only allowing limited birds and throws. This isn't Cut the Rope, let us actually play around with the physics engine!
