An instant classic :)
Back in the day when community content was given the recognition it deserved, Absolute redemption received widespread acclaim for it's attention to detail, humor and gameplay.
It still holds up today, and with an ultra definition pack available, I'm sure it can even appease the graphic-nuts.
Give this a try, this may be on the old side, but it is still tons of fun :)

While there are some hitches and strange design issues, Half-life Visitors brings forth another great romp through Black Mesa from a different perspective, and offers plenty of great fire-fights and exciting gameplay with marvelous attention to detail :)

This game is fantastic.
It is also near impossible to actually get to accomplish everything.
The puzzles make no sense (I literally could not explain some of them without referring to in-code logic).
But the atmosphere is top notch and the premise is unique.

At first let me tell you that I review the 1.0 version here.
This mod is one single masterpiece. It takes a place now in my hall of fame hl2 mod list in my head, I wish I could give it a 10, I really wish, but sadly there are some flaws which makes it impossible todo so for me.
The good things:
This mod does have a straight out amazing atmosphere. Everything fits, the level design is impressive to revolutioning. You walk over house roofs then down to the canals to get back into a house to cross the ravine over a broken vent shaft, myo where are you taking me next?! The level design is one of the best, not only does the level designer understand how make linear ways look everything else than linear, she also understands to make the world around realistic, there are often just empty rooms whith nothing in it, and that is great. Also there is a lot of detailed work, you can see stuff lying around everywhere, and every passage looks yet different than the one before. The textures, soundtrack and sounds are also extremely well done and together with the level design it makes places really 'feel' like being real.
Every level designer out there could watch this and pretty sure learn a thing or too from it, simply fantastic.
The fights are okay, ranging from easy to hard to frustratign, but overall they nearly never seem to be unfair and you ever fight accross a great variation of combat areas.
The story is okay but could have told better, sometimes it is hard to understand the (great) voice actors and to follow the story, you often forget what you are actually doing there.
The bad thing:
The few bugs are not really the problem, but the problem is the sometimes pretty unlogic ways and some extremely unlogic situations.
You often have no goddamn clue of where to walk on, I only made it from habing hundreds of hours experience with such mods. And often you die without knowing what happened, my favourite are the flower pots which crush on your head and instantly kill you.

Personally I think this is what Afraid of Monsters should have been (albeit could have been longer), While short it provides creepy looking graphics, a story about slipping into a hallucinated dream where you have to run from monsters. The only weapon is a knife and its best that way since it only does a decent job at keeping one zombie from you at a time.
Every scary games gets less scary if you can haul a huge arsenal and blow everything away.
You only meet 3 zombies all one at a time so it does the trick.
This mod could have been so much scarier if you had to face 2 or 3 at once and that would have been exciting/scary trying to get passed them all.
The puzzles are easy as it only requires to search well till you find the key to open a door and theres only about 3 instances. It already is a step above Afraid of Monsters because you can actually see everything, although it does have a dark tone due to those either rusty of dirty looking textures that give the place a nightmarish feel and lighting is used well to give the necessary areas the foreboding before we meet a ghoulish creature.
I also like the slow burning nature of the mod before we first meet one. This could have been great if it where longer, say if it where as long as Afraid of Monsters then I would say this mod could have been a clear winner.

While my rating might indicate otherwise; this is the best damn mod for CoP right now.
Graphically, it is near perfection.
Textures are downright beautiful and highly detailed without being ridiculously high resolution, and all the tweaks of Atmosfear and other values render Call of Pripyat the way I always dreamed of.
Though some some new models and animations are a bit sub-par and thus breaks a little immersion, watching the first blowout from a window on Skadowsk instantly made it to my toplist of beautiful moments in any game.
But here comes the big one - gameplay.
Personally, I love it and hate it, in equal amounts.
Being sent into the zone with second to nothing, and having to scrape up anything you find to survive is incredibly fun and challenging in my opinion, food is now a necessity if you want to get where you want fast, and drugs/medical supplies are scarce but their effects are neatly balanced to make up for that.
I love how finding a medkit no longer means that all your wounds from that boar are suddenly gone, but instead you're now just a little less crippled, and how it means that you might only make it a couple of extra meters before you're mutilated horribly again.
But there's an incredibly fine line to walk here, and balancing CoP on that line is a lot like teaching an elephant top level gymnastics.
At first, the stamina balancing was immersive, and realistic, but after a while, I felt less and less for it, and started chugging energy drinks all the time, which is hardly realistic.
If it was more dependant on your encumberance, it could tolerate it decreasing at the current rate while jogging, but right now it's killing part of the fun for me, no matter the intention.
Apart from my (somewhat) "noobish" complaints on realism/fun balancing, the rest of the mod is flawless; guns and damage are perfectly damaged, enemies and friendlies less predictable.
In conclusion, thank you for the mod, and **** you for messing up my future grades.

The omega cam brings a whole new experience to the game C&C 3, providing an almost 3rd person view of the battle field. To test this cam to its full epicness i set a skirmish on max graphics and max difficulty and i got exactly what i wanted......an epic battle. The new HUD interface is new and took a few minutes for me to get, which is easy to get and again adds a new aspect of gameplay to the game.
This software has the more potential to add more and if i could add anything it would be to have a cam lock system to be able to follow a unit as it moves rather than having to follow it, this will give extra room to use the HUD interface to build more units while still being able to command units in mid battle at the same time.
Well done guy's on an amazing project and i hope this will not begin and end with C&C 3 and that it branches out to other C&C games in the future/ 10/10 and more. OOOOOURRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

This is definitely the best Clone Wars mod for Empire at War I have ever played! All the units are well done, the movement animation for walkers is amazing, and I even consider this mod to be an actual game for how good it is! My only complaint was the lag in Galactic Conquest.
