Other: finally getting a notification whenever someone posts a new comment in our profile/image-video gallery/mod page etc. Also, mod and game of the month also seem like an interesting way to promote member and creator activity.
I forgot about that, but that would absolutely make keeping track of feedback a lot easier - especially for new comments on older "buried" media.
This. A better notification system would be very welcome.
If you do a mod of the month you should have a top 10 or top 25 of the month.
I think top 5 is enough. I mean, 25 is like the total number of active mods during a month, right?
Now the thing is how to implement this? By popular vote? By the number of active users? Or else I expect to see COC being on top every month; not a bad thing though.
Why not everything and more?
One at a time. Usually, when you want everything, you get nothing...
why you so mean? :'(
Let's have everything and let the mess begin :D MUUAHAHAHA
Other. I'd like to have mod Images displayed at native resolution by default, rather than having to click a tiny little link to open zoom and every one.
Other. I'd like to see the number of times downloaded and number of comments on a File's download widget.
Other. I'd like to be able to pick which 10/10 review is shown on my mod's homepage.
In this order, this is what I would prioritize:
Live Stream Integration, Image Voting Rating System, Game / Mod Profile Polls, Mod / Game of the Month, Auto-Auth, Web Games, Patreon / Other stuff.
Live Stream integration would be an invalulable tool for this website and make it feel more lively. It would be a very useful thing to have today with so many people Livestreaming their mods all the time. It would be an added bonus to have Updates push when a mod goes "live" so people can come in and catch it, too. This way, maybe someone could use a much lesser known Streaming platform that they perfer, or perhaps use some weird thing for Livestreaming like a Google Hangout or something. It would be especially nice if Moddb could just have built-in livestreaming, but I think that's probably not a viable option.
The only other thing I think is A+ material on this list is Image Voting. This would have to come with detailed statistics for the mod page owner, so they can get a bigger picture of what is liked or disliked from the comments and the voting system. This is useful information for developers.
All the other provided options, I don't care much for. I think an upgraded Forum would be the most useless change to this website ever. Hardly anybody ever uses the forums on this website because comment sections like this are just so much more reliable and useful and much better organized.
Ops, I wasn't logged in.
I do think, for a modding community website, it's about time we have some kind of rating system for screenshots and videos published by mod/indie developers. Plus, a "best of the week/month" media collected by that rating system.
A VERY important feature: to have mod Images displayed at native resolution by default, rather than having to click a tiny little link to open zoom and every one. Or, to make native resolution available by simply clicking the image.
Moddb should take a page from Nexus and allow users to bookmark their favorite games.
To be honest I doubt 'a new feature' is going to be worth implementing, regardless of which one it is. ModDB forums seem to have changed into advertisement/recruiting forums and a lot of mods that are worth checking out are also hosted on other, more modern and better supported websites.
Anyway, apparently I felt the need to indirectly express my sadness about what ModDB has become. If only it would be possible to implement a 'make it the way it was back in 2008' feature :)
making a game list in my profile and being able to filter mods for all my games only.
