I prefer my own language, but subs are fine.
i dont mind subs but i prefer to have them in English cause then i dont have to read anything and can pay more attention to what is actually happening
Agreed. I'm multilingual, and even prefer English although it's not my native language.
I prefer my native language. However the accents and voice acting should be accurate to the setting.
If you can't get a Russian sounding voice actor to speak English, for a mod taking place in mother Russia, I'd rather have the voices be in Russian with subs.
This, they should speak English but be accented if needed.
If they have subs, then I'm good, because all I really want to do is play.
I'll play it even if I dont understand it. It helps if its in english, but if its a good mod I'll play it anyway.
I've never actually played a mod with subs before, but I'm guessing I'd be fine with it since I watch subbed anime and stuff.
I'd like to add that I would have rather played Portal: Prelude in French with subs than with the computer generated English voices. Not saying it's a bad mod, but, in my opinion, I think it would have been less distracting with subs. The robo-English bugged me a little :P
I prefer them to be in my own language, English obviously. But if the mod is REALLY good I don't mind it being in another language, subtitles or not.
I can speak English good enough that idc if there is a german version, or even translated subs.

English. I even install the english version of the games rather then the swedish.
I really prefer mods on my native language, but you know - there're not so many mods/games on ukrainian. Ofcourse you can often find a localised version of mod/game, if not on ukrainian - then on russian.
But there is a problem - localisations were never good as originals.
Thanks to every game I've played on English - now I don't have any language barriers when travelling around the world.
So, my answer is the last one - I'm multilingual :)
I am Swedish. But games looks horrible in another langauge. So ONLY English for me.
I'm dutch, same thing goes for me. English is just a natural game language for me.

Still, learning German, French, some Spanish, and lately Italian - I don't care for the translation, as long as it is of HQ. x-D

I prefer English over any language because most people understand that.
English even tough I dont always understand it. Finnish is my native language but there is not many mods in finnish. And I know swedish very little.
i prefer having the audio in the language of where the story of the game takes place so half-life has to be played in english, paranoia in russian and so on.
sure subtitles are useful if the audio is not english german or french.
Multilingual. Speaks English, Portuguese and understand Spanish. Anyway, subs are good. Always put it on.
If the mod is on Portuguese, it´s good.
I play all my games on english, even if this isnt my native language.
Most of the time, the voice acting is best on english.
Best example is 'Half Life 2'.
It rocks on english and sucks on german.
