don't forget we support videos and HD is coming (it'll be retroactively applied) so upload your videos to here as well and not just youtube!
i'm pleased to see the poll so high in our favor, i think we are the only games site on the planet that gives the devs *virtual* control of the homepage and access to tens of thousands of visitors daily - appreciate the support!
I would really like to see YouTube supported directly for videos actually.
These days, if I can't view it on my phone, it's such a disappointment. Also, it's nice to just have a one-stop upload place for videos, given the size.
When's the eta on HD support?
Also, if you uploaded an HD video in the past will it be converted automatically or do you need to re-upload your HD content?
Yes, I did use the sites listed there, but kinda failing :)
I'm not the best PR guy, I have to admit that. Fortunately, the mod got a small community following it, so, despite being out of development for almost an year, we still have weekend matches.
However, from the first post on their [Russian Bears'] forums, they found the mod through moddb.com. Go figure :) ...
I picked facebook etc to promote my game. I still mostly use moddb though for the most promoting it's great and it's very popular and i can't wait for desura then it will be unstoppable.
I would put all the information, files and screenshots here, and videos to Youtube.
ModDB:s video player is bad in my opinion. Slow and always needs to re-buffer when I go back to beginning.
While ModDB is great, I use social networking to get a slightly larger audience. It doesnt really make a difference, but it makes me feel a little more noticed lol.
Moddb would be very effective, but using youtube is a great tool, especially when linking a youtube video to your mod here on moddb.
Not EVERY SINGLE GAMER knows about moddb, so with the use of youtube, people who are viewing random mod videos are even watching a gameplay might after clicking other related videos lead to one of your own mod videos. I have had this happen to myself before, viewing gameplay videos and then seeing a mod video.
here on moddb I upload sometimes videos that isnt uploaded here on moddb to get visitors and new members here but I'm also thinking of making a facebook and a twitter account for the really small updates.
Saturation! I've got a team handling PR but back when it was just me I used every resource available. ModDB has grown considerably over the years and is a great resource for both Mods and Indie games but it's a good idea to try and reach even further. I'm very grateful for ModDB.
That sounds about right. As a solo job I've branched out to twitter/facebook/youtube/moddb. Also dabbled in other sites like interlopers, genre specific communities etc.
I use Facebook to tell my friends.
I use this site to reach out maximum gaming audience
I use YouTube for gaming footage
I use my blog as it's cover...
Mod DB is the best way to go. I only use youtube for trailers and little dev videos.

It's awesome!
Mod DB make it possible to just have everything here, no need of an homepage or youtube.
Mod DB, here to stay :)
I would really like to see YouTube supported directly for videos actually.

Sorry that I voted the first one, but the third one was the perfect answer.
When's the eta on HD support?

Same here, ModDB is the best.
I'm pretty sure for MOST people, option one is probably Youtube. I would have separated YouTube from the social networking sites as a choice.
If i where to have a game i think Mod DB would suffice but i could have used YouTube as well for 2 or 3 videos! :P
Moddb, Gamespot and youtube is everything i need
Moddb,ModdingUnion(only bfme),Youtube,tried age(only bfme),
But Moddb is a nice Archiv!

if i make a mod, i would make it only on moddb and no other + youtube for uploading videos

youtube just for trailers
I don't usually promote stuff. But when I do, it's either here or on mah twitter.
I share links to ModDB on my Facebook profile and proper pages which I like.
I use other game sites or If you have the option to your own site?
Not that I dislike ModDB, it's a great site, just not friends with the community.
I would put all the information, files and screenshots here, and videos to Youtube.
ModDB:s video player is bad in my opinion. Slow and always needs to re-buffer when I go back to beginning.
HERE! in Moddb :D
Mod DB is the only place I am even REMOTELY noticed... on all other websites my posts are buried within seconds.
YEA MOD DB!
MOD DB all the way...
all of the above?
I use ModDB and a few other forums related to the games I'm modding.
While ModDB is great, I use social networking to get a slightly larger audience. It doesnt really make a difference, but it makes me feel a little more noticed lol.

Twitter is quite good to post small update notices e.g. "implemented XY. ABC works now as well."
Moddb FTW! Here I have everything I need.
:D
Neither of the options. Will do on ModDB, but for now only on DeviantArt, and later Youtube.
ordinary players cant even install a mod, and they dont even care. the only way to advertise is modsites like moddb and usercreated or something.
I mostly post gaming videos on Youtube. i've only had problems with the Moddb player.. sound was out if synth ;<
ModDB all the way. The flexibility and ability to customize so much here is what makes this the best location.
I use Facebook to tell my friends.
I use this site to reach out maximum gaming audience
I use YouTube for gaming footage
I use my blog as it's cover...
I'm using moddb and many other forums but still i'm not getting any feedback ^^
I like moddb, but sometimes it is risky to use other websites lol xD
MODDB RULES ALOT OF ******* GAMES SITE!
Moddb is a God sent for modders. So I'd like to thank everyone running this site for the hard work they put in to give us exposure. :D
