Got my own laptop and then there's the desktop computer which belongs to the whole family. I mostly use my own computer, the other computer is in use when my laptop can't handle a game or something in fair enough framerates.

DIY is the way to go! i love my 5870! ;)
delivered pizzas all summer so i could afford to build a new one. First one I built for myself was back in '04 and doesn't run anymore needless to say. I've also built rigs for my brother and a friend of mine. Gonna build a rig for my girlfriend so she can do graphic design.

Yep it's the only way to go for a gaming pc. Don't forget about overclocking.
am just interested to see how many people share their PC and then have to make separate moddb / steam + other site logins.
i've got my own but I use my wife's laptop quite a bit. No biggie reentering my names/passwords, FF saves them anyway. She uses my comp sometimes too: I have the printer/scanner, she has the HDTV. But I wouldn't do something like steam on multiple comps. IE downloaded ~10gb for COD:MW2 every time I wanted to play somewhere else would waste quite a bit of time... could just load Q2 off a USB drive & play instead. :D
Or you can make a Steam backup of MW2 and simply restore it on all the comps you want to use it on. Viable option?
or simply get a stand alone version xD
I share mine, but I'm the only one that plays games.
We use different browsers too, so site logins aren't an issue.
Got my own but my dads lets every one use and my second one i gave to my brother but we share a lot mostly Steam lol

I share mine with my brother and sister. Though as I bought the computer I get pirority, but I still let them use it for a good while (only gaming computer in the house, they have thier own laptops for web surfing)

i share my computer with dad since it's the only computer he uses at home and the computer we use is the only one in the home with internet connection.
No, no and no! Nobody is allowed to use my PC without my agreement!
The rare situations when I let my dad to use it - is when I have some technical problems wich I don't know how to fix. He has just more experience with PCs than I do.
I got my own comupter but sometimes i let friends/famliy use it.
