After a years wait and a month of voting, we can finally present to you the results in the 2008 Players Choice and Editors Choice Mod of the Year Awards. Despite over 115,000 voters deciding this years winner, the competition was incredibly tight with less than a few hundred votes separating the top 10. In the end Project Reality was bestowed with the top honor of Mod of the Year for modifying Battlefield 2 to create a game which is commonly considered the most realistic combat environment available for gamers.

The new crème of the mod crop has just been named and we thank you, the entire gaming community, including independent developers, game designers and the general public, for making and playing the great games our site has the pleasure to showcase.
