Going to go download it now looks nice great update.
The new barricading system looks pretty cool, the question is, how strong are the boards that you build? will they break when hit a few times, are they really durable, or are they impervious to damage completely?
They are somewhat durable, but are destructible yes. It can survive several hits from a zombie, but is by no means impervious.
... go into say a bathroom with 1 way in and out then board it.......................................... good game?
If you boarded yourself into a room, would just mean no escape for you once the zombies break the cades. Though you can also pick up cades after placing them so long as they aren't damaged first.
there is one big problem you should fix: if you jump on a barricade, it will break immediately.
I believe that is not a bug and is intentional, it prevents players from building ladders.
Yeh this is not a bug and is in fact intentional to prevent exploits. However this doesn't effect a proper/well thought out barricade

Yeh we fixed the problem and Valve has patched and released it on steam. Just need to jump on a server that's updated.
Biggest and best thing in his update is new animations and hands.. Perfect!
Now we need more playermodels.. And lots of them!!!

uhm...great news, but I somehow can not see any mods on Steam... (except for the ones I installed seperately, of course)

This update rules, but i was wondering, dint you guys say there was gona be new weapons (double barreld shotgun, winchester). i no this game doesent need any new weapons but i was just expecting to see them that all. Any way i think you guys need to go and have a nice lie down, great work

If only Left 4 Dead had the same Barricading System. It would be very useful to slow down the movements of zombies and infected bosses.

I just need to say : This mod has it's moments.
I *have* had fun , typically when i'm part of a survivor crew and we withstand a zombie hoard. But in a 30 minute game, i had about 2 minutes of excitement and the rest was excruciatingly boring, or just unsatisfying (killed in a single headshot from a human player), (or as a human player killed because i couldnt select the right weapon)
While i respect what you're trying to do here, I think L4D versus mode just has it covered better with a class based zombie system so that there's some incentive to actually choose that team.
Nobody on the survivor wants to be zombie, and with good reason! you are bound to die like 5 or 6 times before you get a kill.....
That's like 10 minutes of playtime just being somebody's bitch. ~
Fun in the long haul, possibly. But not fun enough to recommend. The new barricade system was cool, but all it seems to do is further stack the already powerful human team.
Is it possible to make different sized boards?
Is it possible to place the bords on eachother?
Are you going to advance on this barricade system with more advanced boards and stuff like that?
Do the boards cost anything (in-game money) or do you just have a set amount of boards?
1) Currently 2 sizes to choose from
2) Right now you can't place boards directly ontop of other boards (touching) but can stack next to each other.
3) We are still discussing this yes.
4) There is no in-game money or points. These are objects you find in game and limited to how many you find and can hold like the weapons and ammo.

Unfortunately Valve has not got around to letting us take advantage of the Update News on steam yet. The date is the default for that. Hopefully in the near future things will change.
