Hi there! Today I announce a project I have been working on for the last few weeks. This has been a highly iterative process with lots of rapid prototyping. The current plan is to prepare the mod for a first release on May 2nd. I will be keeping you up to date every week on the progression of the mod. What I really want to do, is release all of the different versions and VMF files for everyone to see how the mod evolved over the course of 3 weeks. I plan on uploading scans of my scribbles and notes from all my feedback sessions I held during those 3 weeks. This mod will eventually become full access and have tutorials for people to create their own puzzle experiences. I am extremely open to feedback and suggestions from the community and look forward to working with all of you.
So what is the game like?!
The gameplay goes back and forth between a 2D puzzle game and a FPS platformer. The main objective is for the player to get rid of the Red spaces on the grid by shooting his Blue patterns over them. Things get more complex as the player gets the ability to rotate their patterns to form interesting shapes. All while this is happening, the Glados Cores throw their personalities into the mix creating some unique and wacky puzzles. I look forward to getting my first DEV version into everyone's hands next week!
