ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS REMOVED
MISERY 2.x. is compilation of many mods from various mod authors. MDT requests permission from each modder to merge some mod or part of a mod into MISERY.
The good folks at Bohemia Interactive alerted us that some files we borrowed from other mods were, in fact, derived from their intellectual property(IP). To be more specific, weapon texture files for saiga, ak_pack and rpk_pack. We have been asked politely to remove those files from MISERY.
Throughout development, active MDT members have changed a lot. We are a small team and lack the resources to recompile previous versions of MISERY at this time. Those infringing files were already removed in MISERY 2.2. Effective immediately, we are removing download links to versions of MISERY that currently contain Bohemia Interactive’s IP. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we expect to release MISERY 2.2 within 6 weeks. An exact date will be announced when final preparations have been made along with appropriate promotional materials like videos.
We respectfully ask all prior MDT members and/or fans who have torrents or other postings of the MISERY 2.1.x versions remove them pending the release of updated packages which contain proper replacements for the Bohemia Interactive materiel.

if it wasnt for Misery, I probably wouldnt be playing Stalker anymore. But this mod saved it for me.

Btw , i have few questions:
1-Will there be some tweaking/enhancements on the Xray'core ?
2-Will you inject "Gunslinger" mod'animations into the v2.2 ?
3-Beside "The Armed Zone " addon , will be there other addon partners ?
1-Enhancing the core engine wasn't a priority though the source codes were released, the team focused on "sharpening" the mod as it is and bring more features, however, the future may bring some wonderful news ;)
2-Gunslinger is far away from being done, even if it gets released now it will be a burden integrating it to Misery, Misery is based on the vanilla engine, Gunslinger is a whole new story, new and unique engine, eventhough it may be possible merging the two mods it will take so much time, hence a massive release delay.
3-Are you asking whether there will be more addons like TAZ ? if so, it's not possible to know, at any minute a fan may come up with a great addon that serves Misery and the community as whole.
4-No story mods for now, plain vanilla.

Вам больше не придется таскать тяжелые кучи серьезно поврежденного хабара на базу. Использование либо подручных средств, либо специализированных наборов инструментов позволит вам разбирать оружие, броню, и даже электронику на малые и большие запчасти, обломки, обрывки и т.д.. При использовании специализированных наборов вы сможете извлекать шлемы, интегрированные или перманентно прикрепленные прицелы и т.д.. Части, конечно, можно продать.
Более важно то, что они могут быть использованы для доводки найденного оружия с нуля до 100%-ного состояния, позволяя тебе превратить найденный тобой сильно поврежденные останки твоего любимого оружия до состояния "новенькое, еще в масле" не тратя все с таким трудом заработанные деньги. Можно использовать запчасти для ремонта снаряжения прямо во время ходки, тем самым уменьшая вес, который придется нести на базу. Вы сможете чинить дорогостоящее оружие элементами более дешевых образцов вооружения, и продавать его с выгодой. Электроника в хорошем или плохом состоянии позволит восстановить батарейки, или даже элементы из которых она была сделана. Вы нашли броник которые не будете носить или старый вам больше не нужен? Разберите его на части, оставьте ценные и выбросьте остальные.

По щелчку правой кнопкой мыши по соответствующему инструменту все оружие, бронежилеты и электроника поддающиеся разборке появятся в окне, вы выбираете вашу цель и извлекаете ее. Не все инструменты сделаны равными. Некоторые требуют заточки перед использованием, некоторые могут сломаться, без некоторых вы не захотите выходить из дома. Разные инструменты дают разные результаты. Вам придется решать, разобрать все в сразу прямо в ходке, используя то что окажется под рукой, или дотащить все до базы чтобы вытащить все ценное до последнего винтика. Некоторые манипуляции потребуют вспомогательных инструментов. Вы по прежнему можете притащить оружие на базу и сбыть торговцу не разбирая. Это ваш хабар, вам и решать. Разборка снаряжения призвана не только облегчить вашу загрузку и позволить реалистично использовать годные части оружия, так как часто они общие для нескольких стволов. Это позволит разрядить, снять глушитель, прицел и гранатомет для вас, когда вы разбираете. Больше не будет болезненного тыканья в каждое оружие в поисках драгоценных патронов которые могут стать единственным, что позволит вам завтра поесть.
Части и обломки так же могут быть использованы как вспомогательные материалы для других ремонтных комплектов, делая их более эффективными. Все эти замечательные возможности должны быть прописаны для каждого предмета и всех его вариаций во всей игре. Все таблицы должны быть составлены, проверены и протестированы. Возможности различных комбинаций факторов такие как использованный инструмент, исходное состояние предмета и т.д. все должно быть прописано. По завершению все будет быстро, но тщательно проверено и все ошибки будут исправлены. Окончательный баланс будет готов прежде, чем мы дадим Вам возможность его попробовать. Как можно увидеть, это действительно не та возможность, мимо которой стоит пройти мимо. Остальная часть команды все еще доделывает, настраивает и полирует другие новые возможности до уровня истинной MISERY, в то время как наш программист пашет как раб на цепи, позволяющей ему иногда сходить на оплачиваемую работу.
Строго говоря, можно сказать что готовность MISERY 2.2 последние несколько месяцев составляет 98%. Но вы не выставите в магазин автомобиль без руля. А руль в данном случае является ключевой особенностью предстоящего релиза, и это не позволяет его выпустить досрочно по техническим причинам.
В последнее время вы уменьшили объемы анонсов и тизеров предстоящей версии потому что понимаем, что откладывание сроков выхода MISERY 2.2 для многих наших поклонников невыносимо.
От имени нашего любимого программиста и остальной части команды мы благодарим вас за понимание и терпение. Мы превратим боль ожидания в настоящую MISERY достаточно скоро.

It would be nice if we got a rough estimate of when the patch will hit, especially if it's coming from the coder's mouth. But I know, I know if the date isn't near it'll just **** people off. Personally I wouldn't really care if it "takes too long" I'd really just like to know so I can go "okay, I need to entertain myself for X more weeks until 2.2 comes out" or whatever, because right now I've never had a proper sniper playthrough and my trigger finger is itchier than that of a starving bandit to just go in and make that happen even if 2.2 is relatively close.

I know how damn hard it is to estimate a release date in a team of volunteers, so lets put it this way:
Will the 2.2 update come this year?
We already waited for four months since your "coming soon" and years since 2.1 patch, we can wait more no problem.
So do us a solid - narrow down the release date to a year, please?
When "coming soon" is published we were conting for ETA of 2-3 weeks up to 2 months most. Unfortunate events happend to several key MTD members that noone could predicted, desires what to change/include in 2.2. release have grown in that period and so on.
While unfinished things are more/less small to do, real life events of key members prevented publishing on desired time.
Also, in that period, lot of updated files from various members were not merged in release candidate due to lack of free time of key MDT members that were doing merge. Last week, that was changed, we again have stable release candidate with only trivial bugs to fix that always happen due to merging same files from various members.
Most of those trivial merging bugs are already found and fix for those are already available. In the last week we have also included a lot of changes that need to be re-tested again.
After that is done, we are still missing final update of scripts/configs for dismantling feature announced in this news section. Scripts/configs for dismantling feature were good at the time of public announcement, but wishes are grown since then due to fact that it can be made even better than it was at that time.
Those dismantling scripts are coded by only one MDT member. While it is not much left to be done about it, we can't give any ETA on this due to unpredictable free time available to finish it.
Realy, all of MDT members would also want to know more about ETA for this, for we can focus on other projects, any given date can be wrong.

Even if you didn't narrow the release date down even to a year, I'm still happy to see you're answering and can provide a clear answer as to why the release date is so wobbly.
Don't worry. MISERY is no game for little hysterical girls, but for manly stalkers who can handle some delay no problem.
After all, Misery didn't became a mod of the year for rushing the release date. Take your time, we love you.
I love your mod! Really enjoying it only by watching the gameplay on youtube and such. I can't play it since i keep on crashing and lag stutter but i have good fps, i turned every graphic setting to low and yet having same problem. Hope you guys will fix this soon :). I will patienly wait :D
Test results regarding performance and stability are quite promising. Hard to tell that it will work flawlessly on each hardware, but if you follow some simple tips and avoid quicksaves, CTD would not be synonym tied to this mod any more.
Time frame is "as soon as possible". That being said, still noone can predict how soon. CTD bug reports are next to none in test lab, however different kind of issues are discovered and it is being worked on.
Trough heavy weapon files overhaul several faulty weapons were discovered. Those that produce CTDs are removed, but there is some other minor glitches with weapon files that need to be solved prior release.
Latest iteration of dismantling script is under test, CTD kind of bugs with those are solved but there is some unfinished stuff in those that have to be done prior release.
We are also testing AN4.02 version of absolute nature, discovered few issues with those that also need to be adressed prior release. When that is solved, there is also need to rearange of some stashes due to level geometry changes. Some trees have diffrent geometry now, so items/stashes placed on those fall under map, for example.
Not way too much to finish, but most problematic thing is that several key members of MDT have very limited free time for moding. Because of that it is impossible to give any ETA.
Despite that, there is new internal patch available for testing every few days. Sometimes even two patches in day become available in test lab for dedicated group of beta testers.
Glad to see 2.2 is still in the works. Super excited to see it released. Hopefully not too much longer, but no good would come of rushing it so just wanted you to know all your work is still appreciated. Good luck with the rest of the work! ^_^

can we get a progress report to let us know you are still working on it and to justify us checking everyday for months now

It has now been over 1 year and 6 months since this was announced. Is this mod dead? Or are you guys still working on this?
It would be nice to be able to try this mod. But you guys have been dead for over a year now without any way to download it.
