Okay, so I said that I’m going to do a release of Shihong by the end of the year, come Hell or high water.
There’s about six days left in the year. Coincidentally there’s about six really priority things left on my To Do list.
- Something for the Ghost of Perdition forward special
- Specials for Mastodon
- Blursphere replacement
- Redo up fullscreen HUD to accommodate Shihong stuff (Raven, whatever the blursphere replacement will be)
- Redo punching to be punchier
- TEST, BALANCE, TEST, BALANCE
Ultimately, what this is going to mean is that I’m going to need to spend a maximum of one day on each thing, so I can crack it out in time for the New Year. It’s going to be incredibly tough work, but I’m intent on doing it and finally delivering something to you guys.
Normally rushing against a deadline to slap together a release is something to be avoided, but it’s been seven months since I started work on Shihong--this delay is ridiculous. It’s time to stop faffing about and put something out.
Basically where I’m going with this is I HOPE YOU NERDS LIKE UNTESTED PRODUCTS CAUSE THIS SHIT’S GOING OUT OF THE OVEN ONTO THE TABLE
(but HEY, that’s basically the modern gaming industry as a whole now, amirite fellas? Eh? Eh?)
I wouldn't use crippling pulse, why stun for a short time when you can just kill them all with mines/gunfire or protect yourself with cloak.
Because switching between modes takes a little while, so stun can be used as a sort of "oh ****!" button. I won't dispute that the cloak seems like a better alternative for escape, but if you find yourself surrounded by a big crowd of enemies, going invisible may not be enough.
The crippling pulse, well, cripples. It doesn't just stun, it halves speed/defense and removes +MISSILEMORE and +MISSILEEVENMORE from enemies.
Your in luck BECAUSE I LOVE UNTESTED PRODUCTS ******* BRING IT.
So Terminus, do you plan on developing Metroid Dreadnought any more?
Afraid not, sorry.
