Been away for a short holiday, but there has been some ongoing progress as I aim to finish adding the Klingon space units.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past 2 weeks, been away on holiday and been tied up doing some other things, there is however continual progress, albeit small progress as currently I am adding in the Klingon Starbases, which is a rather slow process. Main items on my to-do list before preparing the test release include

- Add lights/glows and shadow meshes to the Klingon ships

- Add damage particles to the Klingon ships (all the Federation ships previously created by SMG have these so I'll have a look at how they were done)

- Add in turrets and asteroid mining facilities for skirmish mode

- Add the previously prepared faction XML for the Klingons

- Prepare the Galactic Conquest HUD for the Klingons (I can use the one for skirmish mode as a template)

- Do some very basic bug testing. ie make sure the game doesn't crash at critical points

In a slight change of direction, once the testers commence testing I will make a start on adding the Dominion ships followed by the Romulans. I was previously going to work on the ground units for the Federation and Klingons, but have decided instead to ensure all space units are in the game first before commencing work on the ground units.

Some good news on the ground front, Nomada Firefox has kindly given me permission to borrow ground unit models from his TOS Alliance mod, so many thanks. When the time comes however, I will need somebody to put together some models for Cardassian, Breen and Jem'Hadar ground troops, and also some Borg ground units, if you are a modeller and would like to have a go at making models for this unit, or if you would like to volunteer in any capacity, just ask. :)

Wow, sounds amazing! Can't wait for the Klingons. I'm so exited for your mod. I like the ground units from Nomada and I'm glad you can use them. Will be a great addition to your mod. I would like to help you, even if I'm no modeller, 2D artist, level designer or particle artist, but I'm already a member of the SGMG (Stargate Modding Group) and responsible for the texts, icons and some coding (ground and space buildings, planets and Galactic Conquest scripting). The funny thing is our mod - Stargate: Pegasus Chronicles - is also for FOC, so I'm very familar with the engine. :)

Btw. I guess with "damage particles" you mean the so called death clones, the destroyed model of a ship. ;)

You're welcome, that would be great. :)

The damage particles are parts of the ship that set on fire when the hardpoints set on fire, I had a quick look at the Galaxy class model in the ALO viewer quickly.

There is one thing I forgot to add to my original post, I am considering gifting the existing Star Wars factions one addition unit, as I am a fan of both franchises. I am considering allowing the Empire to build Venators (the Zann Consortium can already build these), for the Rebels I'd like to give them access to the ship from Episode 3 that General Grievous uses as his flagship, and for the Zann Consortium the Lucrehulk ship aka. Donut ship.

I really would, but unfortunately I have not the time to work for two projectes simultaneously. I'm sorry, but I wish you all the best and that you find some members. Of course I will nevertheless follow this project and maybe give some suggestions. ;)
