Pretty nice for quake don't ya think? We had a more cartoony skin made by Nexus, but we decided to go with kongah's :D She will have swimming, dual welding, crouching, and all of the other basic combat animations. She is only 1912 polys :D

Still pretty high poly for quake 1. I'd expected something like the Joanna model from the original Game.
But if you can do it at this ammount of polys, why not.
The only negative thing i see is the face itself. She simply doesn't look like Joanna. More like another person put in Jo's suit, maybe Velvet Dark (playermodel for the 2nd player in Coop mode).
Yeah. Only Q3 got similar polycount to this model.

This game doesnt recreate the original, its 3 years later with a new story line.
Guessing that most if the polys are in her face, it DOES NOT actually look like Joanna. Use the original for the best reference because the xbox one changed her a bit too much.
The original used a flat face with a texture on it on the (what was it now) 8 sided head?
Take the criticism instead of going on the defensive as if everything you do will be perfect. If you can't make mistakes you can't get any better.
Anytime you release something, you can't expect people to just worship you. If people don't like something they aren't going to play it when you release it; if all anyone sees is an ugly Joanna Dark, they're not going to play your game no matter what platform it's on, what the story is, or how awesome you think your idea is. It's a good start, but you need to take this feedback with some maturity, fix what needs to be fixed, and try again. Just whining about how people aren't on their knees in worship is shortsighted and shows inexperience.

Its just that my games aren't noticed much by people, and they look awesome. And I get angry when the FEW supporters that I have are ONLY criting my models on a quake engine.
Can I at least get a GOOD JOB on some of the models? My modeler works hard.
Yes the face is very detailed, and we will fix the face shape. If you don't like the new face we are making, screw off. I don't want every comment to be crit.

the xbox joanna looks like a freak. I don't understand the bright orange hair. ...wouldn't a joanna based off the n64 look better! not meant as a criticism. this mod looks really excellent.

I agree with WNxKraid. Her face doesnt look like joanna dark. look at the xbox 360 verions and even the n64 version. Her face does not look like that. Not to sound mean, of course. You do rock for making perfect dark for the PSP =]
Ok, biodude. I like it. The models face could be a bit more like the picture you posted. I'm just trying to help man. Tha game is going to be great anyway. Plus, games tend to not get noticed until drastic work is done and shown. keep it positive man =]
