After 11 Months of hard work and several rough patches, Aro and the rest of the team are pleased to announce that Twisted Insurrection's Third Public Beta is now available for download!
This new beta features hundreds of changes, including several new unit images, a completely new dialog and GUI style, many new maps, some new units and other unit role changes, the completion of Twisted Dawn GDI and Nod vehicles, massive game-play and balance changes. This version also introduces the Nod Challenge campaign along with some additional maps to the Nod Campaign. There are a total of 239 Lines in the Public Beta 3 changelog (which can be read here), so be sure to check out this release!
The year is now 2019. The Tiberian World now stands with a very uncertain fate. The two most powerful and influential forces on the planet are trapped in a never ending dead lock of war and combat. Whilst the Global Defense Initiative has suffered many blows and military defeats, the faction itself still stands strong and has shown the world its amazing ability to endure harsh punishments and has recovered much lost ground. The Brotherhood of Nod has struggled and triumphed over its enemies, only for its victory to be short lived by the death of Kane the Messiah, causing an ever lasting deterioration through the Brotherhood and leading to defeats and chaos amongst the large faction. With the end of the First Tiberian War comes the dawn and age of a new, second Tiberian War, with new terrifying possibilities and potential. The fate of Earth lies dangerously unknown. Welcome to the Twisted Insurrection commander.

We're not quite finished here yet.
With the launch of Public Beta 3, we are also pleased to re-announce the Twisted Insurrection Mapping Competition!
The rules are simple and easy to follow, but it's suggested that you read through the Twisted Insurrection: Mappers Guide before you attempt to start on a map. Here is a summary of the map competition rules:
1 - Only One map per entrant.
2 - Map remakes from any C&C game are allowed, but they must be remade from scratch, not just modified versions of the originals.
3 - If you post any previews of your maps anywhere before the competition deadline, you will be disqualified and your map will be marked as void and will not be judged in the competition.
4 - You may modify your submission after you have submitted it, but be sure to get the new submission to me (Aro) on time.
5 - Entries must be submitted to Aro (Me) via Private Message by the 25th of January 2012 (00:00 GMT)
6 - Twisted Insurrection staff members may also enter the competition
The best maps and winning maps will be included in Twisted Insurrection as an official map selection. The top 3 winners will also receive a Twisted Insurrection banner/signature by default.
