Some gamers are still having trouble with game saves when
running The Network from the Desura Application. Until the problem is fixed you
can circumvent the problem by simply:

"The work around for now is to actually navigate to the
commons folder in Desura and run The Network.exe from the folder itself. You
should be able to right click and send it to the desktop to create a shortcut.
This way you don't have to keep navigating back to the folder. Sorry for the
inconvenience."
