There's just too much Triage for one mod - so it's coming in two parts! Here's part one to enjoy.
Part 2 will be coming soon, please follow us to stay updated!
REQUIREMENTS: Half-Life 2, Episode One, Episode Two AND Source SDK Base 2007
NOTE: There is a bug if you use the radio in chapter2 before it flashes green. This will be fixed soon, but for now please avoid using it until the green light on it flashes.
Triage is an expansion to Half-Life 2's single player experience. The mod takes place after Gordon Freeman's teleporter malfunction in Nova Prospekt, causing him to disappear for a week.

Where'd this come from?
Alright, I'll give it a try.
First time I've heard of this. Gonna check it out and drop a review later one. Looks pretty sweet already, though.
First time I've seen/heard about this mod, I'll give it a try too! The screenshots look nice O:
I gave the mod a try, and beat the whole thing in one sitting. The mod was all right, but it was way to short. I loved how there were mechanics where you had to only hold one rifle and one type of pistol. So far, I only found the AR2, AK-47 SD, the SMG, the Revolver, HL2 Pistol, and a black pistol. The gun sounds were quite great, but I expected more weapons, and animations. The story was very rushed. The voice acting was really quiet, and I had trouble finding out where to go. Eventually, I beat it in probably 1 hour or so. What really sucks, is that there is no soundtrack, at all. The graphics looked really dark, and there was no flashlight. Although, the normal headcrab zombies feel faster, which actually scared me. There is no health, or HUD, but regenerating health (Really???). But, I give you kudos, since it has potential to become greater.
What difficulty were you on? if you were on normal that was probably why it was fast
Is this coming to Desura?

Sorry!
I always remember hearing Kleiner saying, "You were gone for a week!" and when I heard him say, "Your disappearance signaled a up-rising!" I always asked myself, "What was that like? I wish I could play as a rebel."
Hopefully this mod will be that chance! :D
Surprised so many people haven't heard of this, I've been waiting on it since the crowd demo and the citizens being able to aim upward without looking weird.
I started playing and got to the radio in the second map, it won't let me use it.
wait until its green you probably already heard this from the mod creator but whatevs :3
Just played through this mod. I also made a video of my playthrough which you can find here - Youtube.com
Review : I found this mod to be pretty good, although a few things need polishing. The overall gameplay was excellent, and the iron sights were a nice addition! I did find the lack of music / ambient soundtrack a bit unfortunate, and there were a few bugs that I found.
Pros
- Fun Gameplay
- Iron Sights implemented well
- Great Concept/Premise
- Guns feel powerful! I love the AK!
Cons
- Some bugs
- No music/ambient soundtrack
- Need some polishing (environment details, voice acting)
Bugs
- The radio in chapter 2 seems to be malfunctioning. (After checking comments I realized that you are aware of this and working on a fix.)
- At the part where you jump out of the building as it explodes, the explosion actually launched me out of the map making me unable to progress.
Overall a very good mod. Hopefully my playthrough is helpful for you to see through a player's perspective. I can't wait to see this mod reach its full potential!
Hi Selyp,
I really enjoyed watching your playthrough and your humorous commentary :P
Thank you for pointing out those issues, they are being investigated right now and should be corrected in the next version.
Glad I could be of some help, keep up the good work!
Never heard of this mod :O But it looks awesome, so I'm gonna try it :D
well gona wait till the complete thing releases part 1 and 2 in one pack , then ill give it a shot , keep up the great work , looks interesting
sounds awesome, just what i needed
MountFilesystem(317)failed: SteamMountFilesystem (6596,317,0x113cfbb8=,0x113cfaa8) failed with error 166: Cache needs repair
Please help :I
The mod requres HL2, Ep1, Ep2 and Source SDK Base 2007, do you have them all installed? Try verifying your caches also. Hope that helps!
I don't have Half Life 2, but I have the 2 other episodes and SDK Base 2007... No idea how to verify caches. But I'll see if I can fix it another way, thanks.
Awesome mod, i cant wait for the next part.
*Spoilers(kinda)*
Is the first part unfinished or something?
First the rebels at the start didn't show up and I spent 30 minutes shooting an endless stream of combine before starting the game again. I resorted to using godmode to see if there was somewhere I was supposed to go, there wasn't.
The NPC's are really buggy. When they're talking sometimes their mouths wont move, sometimes animations don't trigger and they seem to teleport when they get stuck behind fellow npc's.
The second mission where you're supposed to find refugees and bring them back was frustrating as hell. The radio wouldn't work and I had to restart, then my game froze and then once I finally got past that group of combine after you take out that gunner, nothing happens.
Im stuck, I can't go anywhere, I even nocliped around and discovered all the doorways lead into the void.
Is it supposed to be this way? I gave up on it after I spent 20 minutes running around in circles looking for a way to go.
This has been fixed and a patch/update will be coming soon. For now the only solution is to not touch the radio until it begins flashing green, otherwise it becomes unusable. Sorry that there is no real fix now, but it will be updated soon!
Although the voice acting and regenerating health bugged me a bit, the rest is fantastic. Can't wait for part 2.
Things I did NOT like about this game.
-Terrible movement controls (slow strafing and walking backwards)
-Faster zombies (inconsistent with entire Half-Life series)
-Voice acting
-Regenerating HP
-No actual storyline feel to it. I feels like I was just walking around and shooting ****.
The CH1 ending nearly made me shat bricks
Since 2009 you and small group of people were working on this. That takes dedication my friend. Regardless of what others and myself have said about this mod so far I have a ton of respect towards you and the rest of the team. With that being said this mod has a lot of potential and what I'd like to see in the next installment is better voice recording/acting, better gun sounds, and please less of the "run and gun". Keep it interesting buddy. Map design, models, and textures were on point! If you need any help with anything you let me know. Check my profile if you're interested. Cheers!
Thank you! :) Will definitely keep your input in mind.
I know it's hard to make a mod, even with a group. That being said, this mod is fantastic. Yes, some things could be improved - voice acting being an obvious one - but overall I definitely recommend this. Nice work!
(buried)
too many requirements. pass.
Youtu.be heres the walkthrough, with a few words
I found it very call of duty ish
nothing happens when i try to start the mod double clicking alot and it doesnt start the game
nvm
My game crashes after i have got out of the sewers. Dose anyone else have this same problem, and is there a way to fix this?
I fixed the problem by getting Half Life 2 Demo :D
This mod is really good! I liked the awesome weapons, reskins and pretty much all.
( Oh noes! Spoilers D:)
The map building might be buggy though. First fight, I can jump out the window to the right of the building, and walk out the map :(
The spawnpoins to the CP is goes right on me sometimes after walking in the alley with the rebels.
In the sewers near the end the combines can shoot trough the walls and hit me. And someplaces the map sorta looks... boring... It would be very nice having a flashlight because many places are very dark.
Voice acting doesn't sound right al the time(Hell, I could never do better X3)
But all these are just small problems, this mod is awesome! Congratz making an awesome mod! You all did well!
I encountered a problem where my ironsights simply don't work. I've tried rebinding keys, but it seems as if nothing will rebind anyway.
a real shame that all Hl2 eps need to be installed with HL2 itself, personally i own all games but only have ep2 installed these days. and although i really would love to play this one, i don't see myself installing both other games just to be able to play this one.
i really am sorry, your work does look great.
sorry,
Leon
Any chance anything from this could find it's way into Garrysmod? I have to say that the effects in this, and maybe a few of the weapons if they were edited to be more lore-friendly (and without a doubt the penetration system if that's even possible) would be amazing if some talented coder could add them to a Half Life 2 RP server.
Well here's some old yet very high quality weapon replacements I scripted for this mod:
- ak47 with a greande launcher
- colt 45
- m4a1 with laser
- better iron sight alignment for magnum 357 and stock ak47.
