The Total War Series has a great Modding community, They consistently push out AAA quality projects, from total overhauls to unit enhancements, even gore mods to give that extra realism.
So what better way to celebrate the community's achievements and hard work over the years than joining in with Creative Assembly's first Annual Mod awards.

Big fan of the radious mods as they don't bring big departures from the vanilla gameplay because I'm not one for realism. If anyone is curious they are great Vanilla+ mods. They are also modular, so combat/character/unit/tech tree/etc changes are separate.
How is Third Age not on here?

Almost every completed Third Age mod across many genres that I've played have always been top quality in the modding communities. Never get bored of playing them either! M&B's The Last days ported to WB to name one of them..
There is no 3rd Party Content allowed. Third Age is third party content.
The **** does that even mean? A mod is in itself third party content.
I think he means "mods based on Third Party IPs." Thus no Third Age, no Call of Warhammer, etc etc

Most likely because they wanted to give some mention to newer mods, but I still think it should have been in the CA Legacy Games. Third Age is amazing and some of the submods for it make it even better.
They specifically stated "No 3rd Party IP's", so that way they can't get in legal trouble for allowing people to make their own Lord of the Rings Game or what have you, just look at that LOTR Skyrim mod, WB shot it down.
What about EB2???
All of those mods are Rome 2.
Kaziels hasn't been updated in forever either.
CA is more interested in using this to advertise Rome II, I think you'll find.
Yea the list of the best mods would not include one rome 2 mod (apart from the one that gives you the other dlc nations for free like they should have been but CA would not like that would they.....)

Didn't buy Rome 2 for many reasons, but why no love for the Darth Mod on this list?? I always go straight for Darth Vader's work in every TW game known to man.
Anyways, great way to promote modding so definitely looking forward to the results!

Not quite. From what I heard he was very self-entitled. He was saying things to the devs like "I fixed your broken game so you should thank and worship me and don't forget the job offer." I may have exaggerated a bit but that doesn't mean I don't like him in fact I'm very excited for his game

Yeah creative were *** holes to Darth mod they ignored him pretty much when they should of hired him....would of made the dog **** Rome total war 2 better if he was working on the project..
Ah yes...this whole Darth affair back then really showed how small minded CA's management is. Shame really.
But let's see how this "most modable" TW game ever will look like in a year or two. Divide Et Impera already is very good already.
CA said they were not going to invite anyone to the modding summits who said they were not going to make it.
Darth says he will not be able to make it. As a result, CA does not invite him at all.
So Darth has another one of his famous hissy fits and quits modding, and decides to make his own game. Even then, I feel Darthmod is overrated, and most of the AI changes are placebo.
