Here at ModDB, we are always looking for an opportunity to put mods into the spotlight. So it is with great pleasure that we announce the syndication of the top 100 list of this year's Mod of the Year contest on AMD GAME! This puts the, approximately, 5 million visitors that AMD GAME! attracts in view of the top 100 with the ability to peruse the list and and vote without leaving the page. All this means more exposure and more votes for all of you who made it this year. Plus because this list will remain indefinately on the AMD site, it will be a great way for the best mods to continually attract new (casual and hardcore) gamers.
In light of this news and the delayed start on phase 2 voting, ModDB has extended the voting period to January 3rd, 2008. Good luck to all of those involved and thanks to AMD GAME! for making this the biggest Mod of the Year contest yet!
Cool. (First Comment)
Ha ha that's great! Just keeps getting more exciting!
Kool, BLACK MESA to win....;)
It isn't even finished yet. =P
I mean to win the unfinished mod award.
i didn't think it could win. Or was it named differently last year?
It's in the TOP 100.
All i'll say is that if a mods still being made & theres a lot more work that's been done on it since it last won, then why shouldn't it be allowed to keep winning untill its released, as it should be judged on its new content & not the work that was all ready done.
Supposedly it can't win. However, and ironically enough, Mods that aren't in the top 100 can receive awards, as seen in MOTY 2006.
To win a Players' Choice award the mod has to be part of the Top 100, but Editors' Choice awards can be anything which catches our eye.
This means even if black mesa gets 5000000000000 votes, they can only get an honorable mention.
excellent :D
Amazing
Only good things for all concerned! :D
AMD+ATI ftw.
Good to see the extra exposure through the AMD site and yes, AMD bought out ATI, thus the cross promotion on their website....
sweet all is looking good this year. Good luck to everyone involved!
I'd lke to thank iNtence, stenchy & all the other stuff members in doing there best to keep the awards fair & on track, even though they are still also trying to deal with issues concerning the site update at the same time.
Cheers, & thanks for all of your hard work, & have Happy New Year....;)
