MOTY top 100 1

Nominations have closed for the 2017 Mod of the Year Awards, and after 10 days and over 50,000 votes have been tallied across over 4,000 mods in the running, the final Top 100 nominees have been revealed! Phase 2 has begun, in which voting is now open for the Top 100 mods to determine 2017’s ultimate winner. You have until December 21 to cast your votes!

It’s been an incredible year for mods with some of the highlights including Morrowind Rebirth, GMDX, Tiberium Secrets, and Dark Interval. Mod-friendly games such as Mount and Blade Warband, Doom, Skyrim, and STALKER are also well-represented. Despite newer triple-A titles restricting access to mods and user-created content, the modding scene is still alive and well as these nominees clearly show.

You can vote for more than one mod, so be sure to cast a vote for all the mods you think are worthy of a win!

Congratulations to all the modders whose projects made it into the 2017 Mod of the Year Top 100. Now is the time to rally your community to support to secure votes and spread the word about your mod far and wide. Be sure to continue updating your community about future releases, developments, screenshots, and videos of in-progress work. Congratulations also to those mods who didn’t make the Top 100, but came incredibly close. And finally, thanks to mod.io for supporting the 2017 Mod of the Year Awards!

Battle for Middle-earth, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Age of Empires III, Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun, Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars, Deus Ex, Dawn of War, Deus Ex, Diablo II, Doom, Doom II, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Fallout: New Vegas, Freelancer, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Mount & Blade: Warband, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Medieval II: Total War, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Sins of a Solar, SWAT 4, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Star Wars: Empire at War, World in Conflict, X3: Terran COnflict, Company of Heroes, Day of Infamy, Men of War, Star Wars Battlefront II, XCOM 2...

Please... I have a life... I... Oh well, good bye social life.

Too many great mods.

My top 5:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Chernobyl.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat - Misery + Armed Zone.
Fallout: New Vegas - New California.
Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge - Mental Omega.
Seriously, I can't choose, too many great mods for many great games.

And I have to say, I can't wait for Fallout 4: New Vegas, I do not really like Fallout 4, but with a mod that adds the World of New Vegas plus its items, I'll probably love it a lot more than before!
Also waiting for the Fallout 3 World for Fallout 4, there doesn't seems to be a page on Moddb for that mod yet though.

I would also have add The Frontier on the top 100, if that mod gets done one day, it will surely be epic.
Other than that, there are many other great mods worth watching even if they're not in the top 100.

Good luck to all, keep the modding great and free!

Congrats to those who made the top 100 and good luck to them for MOTY. I'm so happy that the admins and mods at ModDB continue to organize and look after this website. It's become a ritual of mine to check here a few times a day to check out what has been released or revealed. You continue to be a beautiful bright light for us (the modding community) and I hope you continue to do so.

For the first time ever I broke the Top 100.

Also this is the first time since 2006 that a BFME1 mod has broken the top 100.

Not bad for a 13 year old game.
