The Armada 3 team is happy to announce the return of another old friend - Bane has returned!
It doesn't matter who we are - what matters is our plan...
After taking a much-deserved break after the release of CTA 1.3, the ever-helpful coder, balancer and organizer extraordinaire (and, rumour has it, semi-professional juggler) has returned to the Armada 3 development team. Bane is getting stuck in with a vengeance and is already making his presence felt as we continue work on The Final Frontier. Leave him a welcoming comment below.
Someone get me some duct-tape, cuz this malaka is ripped!
And speaking of The Final Frontier, the march of progress continues. We've already worked out some issues caused by the introduction of the new Outlaw Sectors DLC, and further balancing tweaks are being discussed in order to deal with the problem of early-game militia spam. Expect more detailed progress reports in the near future now that Ambarenya has returned from his business trip to Europe (read: 4 weeks drinking grappa in the Italian sunshine).
400 gigawatts of kickass, crammed into one mod
As always we're reticent to give a firm release date, but we're getting closer. Just how close will soon be apparent. ;)
For all you Stellaris players out there, check out our other project, a full conversion mod for Stellaris called Star Trek Infinities. It's coming along well, too. Moddb.com
For those of you interested or at least curious about how our models are created, Gul Dukat is continuing his video series showcasing the modelling process. Max has been very busy tweaking existing ships and building whole new ones. Watching him work is a fascinating experience and its amazing how quickly he can produce a highly detailed model. I swear he must run on batteries or something, like some kind of hyper-energetic, man-shaped sex toy...
Here Max works on the new Brinok-class Cardassian cruiser. Check it out.
'Til next time, stay classy! - OrionSlaver
Welcome back Bane.
Welcome back! Love the video.
6 yellow spots in video for advertisement? thank god for ad block
thank god for starving the Gul using adblock indeed. Watching the ad's is the only way he gets paid ;)
Dolla dolla billz ya'll!
But six?? I can just turn on tv if I want commercials interrupted by movies
And I have adblock turned off for moddb, still blocked it on youtube vid
sounds like those would be moddb commercials rather than the ones I add. I only add one commercial at the start of a video as it would drive me nutty too.
Tried it on youtube with adblock off and its still stuffed with ads, one on start and 4 more in video + probably even more annoying pop up ad texts
I guess its local thing then
If I take that mask off will he die?
It would be extremely painful... for you.
Wowzers. This can only mean more stuff added and a quicker release. Whoop! Ty Bane.
Thanks for the update and welcome back.
Hope everyone is well and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciate all the hard work. Thanks!
It's hard to stay away. Welcome back.
Many Greetings and, welcome back Bane!
Thanks all :)
He's a big modder...
4 u...
You.
just wondering if you guys are still doing the lost years? i absolutely love NT era ships and honestly think they look cooler than any other fed ships. all i want is to look at those beautys
Any existing Lost Years content has been rolled into The Final Frontier. Although not all of the planned ships have made it in (due to canonicity reasons), you will see several Lost Years ships as capturables or call-ins.
Gimme that dayum Yorktown!
I came across a really cool sci-fi idea for a "planet" in the game "Star Trek: Generations".
Are there any plans for including Antilios?
