Post news Report RSS The Humble Bundle for Android!

Cross-platform. All games in this Humble Bundle work on Android, Windows,Mac OS X, and GNU/Linux. Pay what you want. Support charity. DRM free.

Four awesome games for your Android device. Jump start your mobile game collection with Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos, and EDGE. If you pay more than the average price, you also get the indie classic World of Goo!

Playing at your desktop? No problem. Buying the Humble Bundle for Android also gets you Mac, Windows, and Linux versions of the games.

Pay what you want. If you bought these games separately, it would cost around $60, but we are letting you set the price!

The games work great on Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android (system requirements here). If you're not sure if your Android device is compatible, give these demos a try.

You can support charity. Choose exactly how your purchase is divided: between the developers, the Child's Play Charity, or the Electronic Frontier Foundation. Also, if you like this deal, a tip to Humble Bundle would be much appreciated!

Time left to buy the Humble Bundle for Android:

Same here. I'm very reluctant to buy this one, however, after the dissapointment for us Desura users that came from the last one. If they get at least some support going for Desura, i'll get it but probably not if they don't for the simple reason that if it isn't on Desura, it isn't in my games list and so it doesn't get played.

Only two of the games are on Desura, so those two games could offer keys. Edge and Anomaly would need to add their games to Desura then they could offer a code for everyone if all the developers wanted to do that.

If you're a Linux gamer, passing up HIB's is definitely helping nobody. Bitch & moan (nicely... or beg??) to the game developers about the lack of publishing on Desura, sure, but purchasing high quality native Linux games grows the Linux game market on the whole.

That's really the goal, right?

Why not support Desura as well?

In anybody's interested in seeing the stats for this bundle compared with past ones, I've put together a bunch of charts and graphs that will automatically update to show the current bundle's progress against the previous ones. :)

Nice! I love statistics, but there is one statistic you left out .... price of Product(for a set platform steam eg.) at release date of the bundle.
That and the the distribution of charity vs developer pay but I assume it's hard to get yer hands on those numbers.

Everything that I'm calculating is directly derived from the main HumbleBundle.com website, and I don't really want to compromise that (I think it's an important aspect of the integrity and transparency of what I've put together). That shouldn't stop anybody who wants to write about/interpret the stats from chasing up stuff like non-bundle purchase prices though.

The Humble Bundle guys published some more detailed stats on the breakdown and distribution of contributions for the first bundle. I have been thinking about creating a separate page to show visualisations for those.

Fantastic aggregation; for one, I completely agree with your methodology, regarding transparency/ethics etc.

Plus... drawing conclusions from the data is less fun than the hackfest you probably enjoyed (thoroughly!) while putting together those graphs :-)

Actually, I get a kick out of both. I've currently got a work-in-progress analysis that I should have up this month if all goes according to plan :D

Well, it took a little longer than I'd anticipated, but my article is finally live.
It's long. It has additional quotes from Humble Bundle contributors, and it can be found here: Cheesetalks.twolofbees.com

After getting burned on the past couple of bundles, I won't buy this one unless there are Desura keys.

If the developers of Osmos and World of Goo want they can definately add Desura Keys to HiB. They have to want to do it, we can't decide for them. The other two games, Edge and Anomaly would have to add their games to Desura and again they would have to want to offer out Desura keys for their games.

If you want Desura keys you need to ask the developers to release their Desura keys and get their games on Desura.

I have e-mail the Humble Bundle guys to let them know that I will not be purchasing due to a lack of Desura keys. No Desura keys no purchase. :(

Still hesitating to buy this bundle. But EDGE is so tempting...

Also, have some desura keys from older bundles. If anyone interested, write me a PM.

I remember the good old days, with Desura keys on every bundle... melancholic..
i'm having the feeling that after the IndieRoyale start dissapeared the Desura keys on HIBs
sad..

Why are people so obsessed with Desura keys anyways? Very little amount of people use it compared to Steam, and all the friends I know are on Steam, so I really dont see the point of Desura keys.

not everyone uses windows, steam dont have linux support... also, you are here, arent you :)

but anyway... AFAIK, if you contact humble bundle guys, they will give desura keys for the games that are in desura... As some games arent in desura, they dont want to announce desura keys, so people dont feel tricked when finding out that only half of the games are in desura

While Desura is great for Linux users (like myself) the lack of keys will not ever stop me buying a HiB purely on the basis of they are helping bring games to Linux.

People are being shortsighted if they don't buy just because there are no keys. This is bigger than just Desura, and as many people need to buy these bundles for Linux as possible to help bring about intrest in Linux as a viable platform for gaming.

A good point well made.

I wish there was a better way of petitioning for Desura keys; emailing the developers has only been effective sometimes in the past. You win some, you lose some i guess..:/
Hopefully this will be a problem that will go away as Desura continues to grow and become more popular :)

Trouble trouble.. The Android bundle is not identified by the Android Marketplace as purchased games. Thus cant update the games once purchased from the bundle :( </3

Or, you could spend the money on other games that are already on Desura? Not saying HiB is a bad thing (I've bought all until HiB4). After HiB4 didn't have Desura keys, I'd rather spend my money on other Desura games.
