Welcome Lords and Ladies

Today I will show you some very early progress of the mod. I have chosen 12 swords from Skallagrim's collection that I will include in the mod. Most of them are from the early middle ages and the viking time, some are from a later time period, though the will still look very pretty in-game.

Swords I will include in the mod:

  • Caithness Broadsword (1h)
  • The Knecht Kriegsmesser (1h/2h)
  • Berserkr Viking sword (1h)
  • Gaddhjalt Viking sword (1h)
  • Danish War axe (2h)
  • Hungarian War axe (2h)
  • Lowlander Greatsword (2h)
  • Scottish Claymore (2h)
  • German Langmesser (1h)
  • Tinker Pearce Longsword (1h/2h)
  • The Duellist Longsword (1h/2h)
  • Town Guard Sidesword (1h)

Of course this is just the current planning, and the list might change over time, don't pin me down on anything. Which of these swords are you most eager to see in Mount & Blade?

The Knecht - Kriegsmesser

Now onto the first sword, Skallagrim's most priced and favorite sword in his collection. The German kriegsmesser called 'The Knecht'.

This sword was a blast to make! It's just so perfectly designed, with beautiful lines and curves. And when it was finished, I just couldn't stop looking at it. Watch the video below where I show in timelapse how this sword is made. I can't wait to spill some Aserai blood with this.

I hope you enjoyed that. Stay tuned for the next sword in the collection.

Greetings, Mr. EmjeR

I personally love the Knecht, beautiful sword and beautiful model :)
Do you plan on having all of the components of the weapons available in weapon crafting? Good luck btw!

I will have to see how the modding system is going to work, but I suppose yes. This allows people too both make awesome customization as well as abominations of the swords. And it might help with getting the trowing pommel to work.

Save the .blender file then, so you can rip it apart for the customization system :P
