Following the launch of Mod DB v4, the need for the "standalone game" profile is no more. This is thanks to the all new powerful community based system which allows the community to control all the sites content, allowing games to be added to the games list and not the standalone games list as they were in the past.
Plus with the addition of engines and groups support, content should not be accurately linked through to the correct profile.
