Second patch for
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha
has been released!
Here is long awaited 2nd patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Lost Alpha. Here are some very important facts about it:
- Due to the changes in storyline and engine, it's required to start a new game after you installed this update.
- Your previous saves will not work.
- This patch is cumulative, so you don't need to install the previous (1.3001) patch at all.
- The patch installer will wipe out your gamedata directory so backup whatever mods you've installed
- Beware, mods made for previous patches will not work with this 2nd patch until mod makers make them compatible. We can not give support in this case.
I'm glad I did not get past the beginning of Dark Valley haha. Good to see the continued support!
Yeah :D. The main reason this patch made me so happy is:
Fixed weather cycles, better weapon positions (no more pistols strangely placed on screen :) )
But rain actually made me lag, that was weird but still great mod :D

After installing this 1.3002 patch game crashes in cave when sin guys knocking out character:

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem by myself?
What the hell? After I go deeper in mines (in Darkscape) mission "Go deeper in mines" failed, Petrenko send me a message about "You really ****** off sins in Escape, go to Voronin and talk him" But if I go deeper in mines, sin member hit me and Game Over. But next to "Game Over" text, I am wake up. And this problem has many players. [LA 1.3000+Patch 1.3002]

Same here, in my game is hit, game over and only "Press space for load game"
I'm totally stuck and don't know what to do next .......
I have the same issue. I have just done some research and discovered that the game is broken.
If you are an enemy with SIN by either killing them in Cordon or joining Duty before completing the quest then the game will break and you will have to restart from scratch.
It is the only confirmed game breaking issue. I'm not a happy Stalker :(

Sorry for this being so late. For any future advice. You are an enemy of Sin so you need to clear your Rep for him at Barkeep at 100 rad bar. Pulled the info off the Wiki.

I love you guys for making this game come true, but I'll stop playing it now. I don't say that you should have worked one or two years more on it and release it when it's finally done, but it just doesn't work. Version 1.3001 ran almost perfect. I had some issues but they weren't very bad. In v1.3002 I have crashes every 5-10 minutes again (most of them reproducable), crashes when I try to change settings, crashes when I try to save and random crashes at startup. I've tried every DX mode, I've tried different settings, and it just ain't fun anymore. I don't blame you. X_Ray is a beautiful but bitchy piece of crap most times and I think you can't do anything about it. I won't play this version anymore. I'll possibly try the next one then.
Another issue: in 1.3001 I had no grass. In 1.3002 I have grass but no sun rays at any DX mode or quality setting. Weird, isn't it?
Could someone please make a mod that allows me to color my Strelok character's outfits in Germany's football team colors? Please?

Still in the Cordon (beginning), and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to load ammo during the assault on the Bandit camp, but then realized you have to move it from your backpack to your belt first. Must not have read the readme file beforehand, but good bit of realism nonetheless.
Still Doc in swarp crash again, I try everything, installed every recommend but did not work. Any help?

I go into the Sin cave and the "Go deeper in the Mines" task failes and when they hit me I get "Game Over"

Do not kill the Sin guys at Cordon. Do as they say. Killing them will BREAK the game later one. In addition, DO NOT join Duty until much later in game.
I get this impression a couple developers thinks this a little clever but choosing to obey people who act like bandits, looks worse than bandits and treat you poorly in addition to wanting to extort the trader you have a deal with does give the impression killing them is ok. However, it is not. Or at least within this current patch.
I have to restart the game and it's killing me in the inside. This would be my fourth restart for Lost Alpha.
The weird thing is, in my first Playthrought with the First Patch I killed thos sins in Cordon and they didnt care at all...
I even extracted the new "gamerelation.ltx" set the Sins level up that they should love me. Still bugged....
I see that I'm not alone with problem in cave. When i'm reaching "hit in head" point it's shows me Game Over and press space to load game.
i've reloading game from autosave point mamy times but it did'n help. Any ideas ?
Can anyone help with entering mines. When I go deeper in the mines, the log pops up saying mission failed, Im getting killed from behind and thats it... Any ideas? I see Im not the one with the same problem.
Retry from the Point where you have to save Fox and DONT Kill any of these Sin guys which are with him. You cannot change the Relationship between you and the Sins afterwards. Ive tried it with extracting the gamerelation.ltx and changed the line from "they hate me" to "they love me" but it doesnt matter. You have to retry buddy

Heh, saving Fox is begining of the game so it's no diferent load so old save or start new game ( for those who don't have save file before resuce action)

Is there anything i can do to make the quest (v1.3002 Patch) "go deeper in mines" work? (i killed the sin guys at Cordon) I get always instantly killed in the mines and game over ;(

Well, usually STALKER punishes those who are trigger-happy. My advice, only kill when absolutely necesary

Could please someone help me, I play lost alpha 1.3002 and I'm already 7 days in the zone. The problem is that the weather doesn't changing, its always dark from the second day and absolutely no sun. If anybody knows anything please reply

Hoock, extract this small archive: gamedata.zip [url]http://www.maxarea.org/downloadsubs.php/gamedata.zip/[/url] in your game directory. I think that will solve your problem...

i have joined duty and cant carry on the quest with sin. **** I have started game for the 2nd time and stucked again. Please do something with that becuase I dont have power to start game again.
In Cordon you must save Fox by negotiation, do not kill the SIN members.
So, the SIN faction remains neutral, not enemy.
Hi all , firstly a big thanks to the devs for this fantastic mod.
Now my isuue, I´m also getting a ctd at the "meet doc at the swamp" mission. just after the cut scene, it autosaves and ctd. Any sugestions ?

I HAVE FOUND THE DUTY JOINING/SIN FIX:
1. download unloaded patch 1.3002 and istall it.
2. go to: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Lost Alpha\gamedata\config\creatures\
3. and find game_relations.ltx in this file change in the matrix actor_dolg for dark_stalker from -1000 to 0
4. play as duty and deal with sin without problems. I don't know if this will work in futher game progress but just in case chance it again.
the should look like:
dark_stalker = 0, 0, 0, -1000, -1250, -1000, -1000, -1000, -1000, -500, 0, -1250, -1000, 0, -1250, 0, 0, -1000,
How do we have the gamedata folder, and not the gamedata.db* files? (ie : where can we download the unloaded version of the patch?)
PS : I've tried to open the gamedata.db* folders with notepad++ but they are too big. :/

you have to copy and save the gamedate folder from the other patch then install the 1.3002 patch , copy the saved gamedata folder and past it to you S.L.A folder if you dont want to star all over again i can sand it to you in you email. have a nice day
