SoF2 Kill the Man with the Ball Version 1.2 of the Kill the Man with the Ball modification on PlanetSoldierOfFortune!
The latest version of this Soldier of Fortune II mod based on the children's game of the same name (and less politically-correct variations). The new release adds a radar icon to identify the ball carrier in team mode and a siren to do the same in free-for-all mode.
What's it like? How is it played?
KtMwtB is pretty simple. It's basically played like the old schoolyard\backyard game, except now you have actual points, and guns.
You get to the ball, and you hold onto it as long as you can, racking up points as you do so. Both FFA and Team modes of KtMwtB have a default limit for how long you can hold the ball. A "Long Haul" limit will award a few extra points to the carrier, and then respawn the ball at its original location. This is to prevent people "hiding" with the ball in smaller games or on larger maps, but this can be turned off by the server administrator
