It's been quiet around here for the last three months as we were taking some time off from AHL2 development.
With the days growing longer again and people returning to the servers it is also time to continue development and start work on the next release. This time we definitely do not want to keep the game in development for another two years so we've come up with this idea: until the end of this month we will be taking suggestions for changes and additions to be included in the next release. That is, if there is anything that you want to see in AHL2 or anything you think could use a change: let us know by 30 September 2011 and your idea might make it into the next release. A good place for such suggestions would be the comments section of this post (no registration required, but comments await approval) or the forum. There are already a few threads with names starting with "[SUG]" where you can contribute to the discussion, but feel free to open new threads as well.
In other news: before production on the new release starts there'll be a third patch for AHL2v2 to fix another rare crash and some minor annoyances.

-Character voices
-Taunts for dominations, sometimes kills
-Being able to run up a wall and dive in the opposite direction in one fluid motion.
-Being able to jump between 2 close walls to get to a higher ledge prince of persia style.
-Cooler grenade effects

-Easier ledge grabs (I know you can do it in AHL2 but for the life of me can't figure it out.)
-A tutorial map

I mostly would like to see any bugs ironed out. It's been awhile since I last played but if I remember correctly there was a map that if you did team deathmatch on sometimes 2 players from opposite teams would spawn in the same spot.

Bring back the Single Action Army and the Fifty Caliber rifle. Also bullet time, I think there was at least one multiplayer mod with it.

The 50cal is in already. And the one with bullet-time is The Specialists iirc.
And yes, there'll be some bug ironing going on as well.

Is it me or do the pictures here resemble a completely different arsenal than the actual file you get to download. I suggest the mod try elements done in 'The Opera'. A half-life 1 mod. The mook arcade for instance was winner in my book.

The screenshots have not been updated and show the game's state from version 1. The weapon models (and some character models) do look different now, but the arsenal is still the same.
By the way, just like the name says this is the second incarnation of Action Half-Life. AHL2 is the successor to the Half-Life 1 mod Action Half-Life - and that one went public way before "The Opera" appeared. AHL1 itself is the follow-up to Action Quake 2, which was the first one in the Action series of modifications.
What I want to say is that we've been around for a long time now and always kept AHL as much as a unique experience as possible and therefore we wouldn't like to copy other team's efforts.
