Browse the Steam store and launch games without ever leaving VR.

A new video uploaded by Road To VR's Frank He showcases the HTC Vive's SteamVR interface, as seen from within virtual reality.

The Vive's motion controllers are used to navigate a Steam Big Picture-like interface by pointing at options on a floating window pane. These options allow for customisation, such as the ability to change the colour of the Chaperone system's borders, as well as the background visible in your temporary preparation room.

The video also shows how switching between different SteamVR games is accomplished near-seamlessly. The game loads in the background while the user is browsing the SteamVR library, and then fades in around the user once it's ready to play.

It's also possible to view a virtual web browser within the SteamVR interface. This pauses the VR game and allows the user to load and navigate web pages, all without leaving virtual reality. Though the video only features Selfie Tennis and Budget Cuts, you can browse the SteamVR listings to see over 40 titles currently ready for VR.

New Vive pre-orders will begin shipping in May this year.
