A few weeks ago we announced a competition for the skinners out there, to give a Scion car a shiny new paintjob. There are plenty of prizes up for grabs including $1000 to the winner - so for those participating, the entry form is now available. There are still a few weeks before the competition ends so don't rush... but remember you have to be in it to win it!

Canadian entrants welcome? Also it says we have to provide a .max file when submitting. Can we render with something other than 3dsmax (I use XSI)? Shaders allowed?
Worldwide entries are permitted. I believe they will be flexible regarding the file format but MAX will be preferred.
Renders of the skin is the most important aspect, the max file is secondary.

r4scal - you don't have to model! A good skin / texture is all that is required - so far we have not received any entries (it is still only early) but still... if you can skin you should give it a shot!

I've been debating if the time is worth $1000. I will probably end up sending in an entry but we will see......
How long does it take you to texture a car? Of course the time is worth it for $1000. What you really meant to say was, "I don't wanna go through all that effort and not win." :P
Well there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes - and it is meant to be an enjoyable challenge. Still I know the feeling "gotta win" haha!
