Without further ado we present to you the official gameplay trailer for the demo, showing off gameplay from the first of three maps that we are releasing in this demo. This should satisfy your curiosity until the 11th of November when we release the playable demo in the Windows and Linux varieties.
Despite the fact that we're releasing a demo we need help! We need skilled creature modelers and animators as well as dedicated mappers for future releases. If you're interested in a position register over at the forum and let us know!

I still lol'd pretty hard at Ettins disintegrating into clouds of red smoke, though XD
Sound effects are very disappointing. And the deaths of the monsters are as well.
Love the sound of Ifrits crying out! And the serpent staff looks like a lot of fun to use, but does it still drain HP at melee range?
Not, yet. It will though, in the official release.
We wanted to have bodyparts as well, but the engine just can't handle that many entities at once. If each Ettin spawns say 5 bodyparts and you kill 20 Ettins. You have 100 entities on the screen, Doom 3 just doesn't like that very much. So we've had to compromise some of our own ideas for the game to keep it playable on lower end hardware.
Keeping the game playable on lower end hardware means more to us than throwing in fancy effects that are fun, but don't add to the core-gameplay of the game.
Wow, I´m totally impressed by the trailer, you have done really very good job guys. :D
As for the deaths of the monsters, I think its OK for now, at least it looks like good old carnage xD

As Rebooker said, it would be better to have the Ettin bodies ragdoll when killed like D3 monsters, would it not?

by me I think it looks great, as I read trough here, keep in mind that this is first release, and for the bodyparts or some death animation, can't you make some kind of the skeleton-like effect like in original doom? anyways looking forward to see more and more content added, I really like the idea when climbing up on the wall :) some secrets could be hidden like this, yes :D
