Robot crafting sandbox. Build ‘em! Battle ‘em! A universe where you can play with amazing robots that are designed, built and even programmed by you. Everything is a robot, doors, roads, walls, bridges, safes, traps, turrets, surveillance systems, etc. Build forts, towers and architect impressive structures to protect your planets and resources. You may play solo or with friends to infiltrate, conquer planets and gather resources. Traditional keyboards and mouse can be used along with midi devices, gamepads, iOS and Android devices; the point is, any device may be used as a controller. Create your own input setups and master your designs, whether it is controlling a huge robot or entire armies of relentless minions. The Rawbots universe has a unique set of matter, energy and physics laws. These laws are engineered to serve up fun emergent gameplay that is different every time you play. Everything you would expect from a sandbox game and more.
Enjoy Rawbots and many other great games on Desura.
Great news, but given that potential buysers actually get a LOT more value for the $30 version offered on the Rawbots website, it would be nice if you could let people clearly know of the differences between the $9.99 version and the $30.00 version of the game. Since purchasable products on Desura support descriptions, that's one way you could do it.
Also, could you maybe add the $30 version as an additional "VIP Edition" purchase option? That would, at least, give people the choice of choosing what they want in a single spot.
I bought the $9 version before I checked out the game's website and saw the $30 edition. Dangit.
Can anyone explain me the difference between the two edition? The $9 edition gives access to the game right now?
The $9 edition on Desura only gets you the latest stable version of the game and - presumably (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the final release version of the game.
The $30 edition on the Rawbots website gets you that and a LOT more, such as the latest unstable alpha, and later, beta versions of the game, the latest experimental versions of the game, which contains features which might not make it into the final game, iOS and Android versions of the game, and VIP access to the Rawbots forums, meaning you can access special forums and help guide the development of the game.
To be honest, I don't know why they don't offer the $30 version of Desura as well - Desura does support multiple price tiers for games, such as Rawbots, in its Alphafund program.
Thanks!
Wow, that's really nice! Gonna try to fix my paypal account and buy the $30 edition. This game looks really awesome.
