Procedurally generated dungeons make an appearance in an all new dungeon crawler game mode!

Greetings all!

Jordan here with a smidge of Zombie Grinder news! Tim has patched in the random dungeon generator for everybody to try out! Along side those, there is a ton and a half of bug fixes, some tweaks to old maps to add a bit of flavor to an otherwise bland experience, and a new miscellaneous item that allows you to charge into battle with a pre-determined amount of cash! This comes in handy especially with the new random dungeons! There are also a few other features and stuff we snuck in, so have fun finding those :)

now when u say random dungeon generator...... what would be the max.... just wondering i think its bad ***..... reason im wondering is different dungeons picked at random is still a random dungeon generator >.<

Its not dungeons picked at random, its all procedurally generated.

It literally makes each floor on the fly from a seed :P I think it's technically infinite.

Max map size is 100x100 rooms, there are 4 different variations of room shapes (really need to expand that), 6 possible spawn points for lights, 6 possible spawn points for projectile spawners, 8 different types of traps/rooms (chest/wave/etc), 4 different enemy drop types, 255*255*255 different biome colours, 255 light shade variations, etc, etc.

100^100^4^12^12^8^4^255^255^255^255 = large number lol.

So close enough to infinite lol, but I do agree I need to add more variation to the maps.

100^100^6^4^8^4 is the ones that really matter lol
so 1x 10^1536 different combos that arent JUST cosmetic lol not counting lights,colors, or light shade variations 8 D.... either way its a GREAT add on cuz i was starting to get tired of just grinding the exact same maps the exact same way.... now theres some spice..... btw are those jumping block zombies in all the other maps or just random map

SOOOO THIS is the update that broke my game hmpf. I downloads a 61 mb update in desura for ZG and at like something percent it derps and implodes violently. I got denied my grinding of sombie exp. because intrepidus coding D:

Awww, I was under the impression that there would be game-generated sequential dungeons or something.

It seems like its just an aid in creating dungeons in order for them to be chained together.

wut.

The dungeons are procedurally generated. They aren't pre-made and chained together.

But I do agree they have far to little variety in them, as I said, will be slowly making the dungeon generated better and better :).
