So in the next couple weeks we'll release a patch (R4). It will not be a full download like R1, R2 and R3 have been. It's mostly just a hotfix for a few issues, the biggest of which is the 1.1 Official Patch requirement. This has caused an issue with Unification failing because it lacked the .txt file that told it the 1.1 patch was installed. This was in hindsight an unnecessary feature, and will be removed shortly.

Question. If the issue is that it can't find a text file, couldn't you just tell us where its looking so we can put it there?
Seems a lot simpler than waiting two weeks (not accounting for more delays) to get a patch that has the same effect.
Actually I labeled it as two weeks to account for delays. In reality it probably won't be that long, most likely less than 9 days.
And no, it's really not simpler to us.
Can't remember where the file's located, but you could try creating BatchStates.txt and putting it in the folder the error says it should be in. Don't worry about putting anything in the txt file.
Well it certainly fixed the Config Error (though I get another about aspect ratio)
but no effect on the game. If its as complex as THEWULFMAN says, I'll just wait then.
