The sleeping mod finally awakes but maynot be for EAW

Now i know its been a long time since this mod has been updated and i appriecate that it can be fustrating when people see a mod they want it it just seems to die. I apologise for the lack of work on the mod, but real life does come before any mod's as its purely done in freetime... which ive not had much.
Though i have recently just aquired Sins of a Solar Empire and have realised just how good a game it is and i am wondering whether i should carry on the mod for EAW or move it to sins as you CAN have a GC of 4+ players and you can have big fleets fighting it out with some very nice looking graphics...
though i am asking for help as if the mod does carry on for either EAW or Sins i do need help doing it. Thanks.

I vote you move to sins
It has more capabilities in my opinion than eaw and much better graphics along with ship abilities and large research trees

sins already kinda has a Eve mod though they would probably love your help maybe u could contact them I mean one of the things i hate seeing is when there are two mods of the same topic it erks me for some reason. However if that mod is dead go friggan nuts man i want an eve mod so bad. Or you could always try homeworld or somthing i dont think they have a good eve mod and u can have plenty of races. You can also make the ships look seriously detailed.

i did contact them awhile back about sharing resources and such, though i've tried recently to no joy. though your right there is a mod called sins of new eden which theres a little demo about which does show potentional certainly so.The ONLY thing i have found with sins is that you cant capture enemy units and use their tech, so you couldnt have "mixed" fleets of caldari, minmatar , gallenete ships etc..unless an extra faction or two was added to accomodate this.

u can make it so u can capture neut derelicts i've seen it in several mods in fact. You can makes ships able to board enemy vessels and take control best examples of the first possibility is Star Gate Invasion mod. Best example of the second is the borg from sacrifice of angels.

I think it should be for sins, so many more possibilities using that game engine i think.

If you move to Sins, that just means I'll have to pick it up some time when I'm out of my house.

From the differences between EAW and Sins screenshots, I'd definitely go for Sins. I would love to see the mod look as well as it possibly can.

And if you ever need help with some modelling, even though I'm not experienced pretty much at all, send me a PM or something. And I have loads of free time up until this summer.
