The update you've all been waiting for is finally here! The Space Cowboys Development Team has made great progress over the past month, and today we'll present a major milestone - the first Teaser Trailer. Along with the trailer, the team has made a lot of progress in other areas as well; today we'll showcase an assortment of never before seen assets - both WIP assets and final in-game assets. Your feedback is extremely important for us and many of the things you say we take to heart so if you have a comment don't hesitate to post.

General News
The entire Team has spent countless hours and late nights to reach this milestone - a full trailer, using many of the team's custom assets. Our main goal is to create a working prototype; this will entail creating an entire set of assets including models, particles, music, and sound effects. The team is highly motivated and very professional, producing top quality work on a consistent basis; team leader and Game Director Roy Shapira is ensuring that everything is done according to the Petrograd vision and keeping the quality standard set high. We like to show you what we work on rather than just tell you, so check out some of the cool stuff we've been working on below.

First Person Arms Model
The protagonist in Petrograd is a Black Ops Recon agent equipped with hi-tech gear;
the First Person Arms will include a fully functioning PDA that will integrate to the GUI, along with matching suit, gloves, and pads. Talented team member - 3D Artist Anton Kozlov has been hard at work to create the Protagonist's arms, he is now texturing them with great care.

Finished HK MK23 mod .0 Pistol Model
The HK MK23 mod .0 is a 0.45 caliber pistol. It was specially designed by H&K with great stopping power, enhanced with unique all weather polymers that ensure excellent accuracy and reliability - a perfect fit for our protagonist. Team member - 3D Artist AJ has created the model, and new team member - 3D Artist Mayan Ariel has textured the excellent model, it is now being rigged and animated by the team.

Ingame Finished Props
The city of Petrograd will be filled with items related to their location, from farming tools in the rural area, to kitchen appliances in the city apartments. The team's prop modelers are hard at work creating everything from porcelain plates and closets to fully functioning toasters. Shown below are some of the props that are already functioning in-game, the Toaster with medium and fully burnt toasts, retro telephone and a scientific PDA. These models where created, textured and imported into the engine by team member - 3D Artist Elton Spence, who is now working on a vast array of other props.

Ingame Finished UH-01 Huey Helicopter
Earlier updates featured some finished models of Aircrafts, shown below is a fully functional in-game UH-01 Huey Helicopter. It was created, textured, animated and finally imported in-game by team member - Lead Animator Chris Lau who is now enhancing the textures on the Huey, and animating the rest of Petrograd's vast array of player-usable vehicles.

Petrograd Wallpapers
Today we bring to you a special treat - an assortment of new wallpapers with the original grunt character (and new guns) all in the atmospheric Petrograd environments.

Petrograd Teaser Trailer
Today is a really special day for the Space Cowboys Team; the teaser trailer we've been working on for the past few weeks is finally done. It features nearly all of the assets we've created so far and really shows off the unique atmosphere that will be presented in the Petrograd Game. Everything you see in the trailer is directly captured from in-game sequences.

On behalf of the entire Space Cowboys Development Team - Enjoy:

Sorry, but I've JUST watched your trailer...
HOLY MOLEY!!!
This is the best looking mod trailer ever.
God I almost can't believe its realtime. But I believe cos I'm modding Crysis.
Gorgeous work.
Gonna show it to all of my friends ASAP! :D

p.s. One negative moment. "Banging through wall" looked a little comically.

quite possibly the most epic mod trailer ever, even better than black mesa source, the part where the butterfly fades and the missle takes its place was just ******* pro.

I know th this is a "release-when-done" mod but I'm so eager about this that I just have to ask.

What year would do you think this will be released?

If you could guess a month it wouldn't be to bad either. :p

Mu$$e it will probably be released this year (2009). We are actually aiming to make it into a short prototype (with about three full SP maps), and we may expand upon that later depending on how successful it is.

Wow, this looks great, I loved the contrast between beauty and destruction with the butterfly and missile, very nicely done, I didn't expect that at all.

However I do think that the wall breaking part at the end was crrrrraaaaap, I was wondering why I was looking at a brick wall, then I heard thudding, then some dude casually walks through, I was half expecting something like the tank off left 4 dead to come bursting through XD but some dude who looks like he's off Killzone walks through casually instead when he really should have stumbled through or appeared to have just been the thing that broke down the wall.

Anyway, all in all, this was great, aside from the end bit, this seemed professionally done, so well done fellas.

we will use the new version of the engine that was used for Crysis: Warhead.

and Crytek already proved that it can run on a 500$ computer :)

so u'll have no problems to run this at full graphics.
