Hello everyone! We're still working away at the actual content so nothing prepped for a full news post yet, but as thanks for your amazing support throughout Mod of the Year, Corey's starting a new preview playthrough as the Pentastar Alignment in one of our dev builds on his personal YouTube channel, including the new Bellator (in the next episode), the new UI, some new mechanics, and some galactic objects. To check it out, you can watch below or follow through to the playlist. He'll be posting them Wednesdays and Sundays.
Pentastar Preview Playthrough
As thanks for the massive support in MotY, here's another full-length video preview of 1.1.

I've watched a couple of minutes with no sound (because reasons), can't watch the video right now (also reasons), so i just want to know : What is up with Minntooine having a KDY-style ring ?
We'll likely do a news post covering all these sorts of things when we get the galactic objects all sorted, but basically the way we've done shipyard worlds ie Kuat, Fondor, Mon Cal is to have a captureable structure, which gives certain bonuses you'd expect from a shipyard world and the rings act as a visual indicator for that. On some maps, these sorts of objects you can find will be set up in canon places (so it'll just be Kuat, Fondor, etc), but in most maps they're random spawns, which allows for better replayability and more of an exploration aspect.
is it possible to get a toned down icon pack for ships?
Toned down how?
I'm not that commenter, but I believe he is referring to the circle icon off centered from the ships, with the lines connecting the two. I get that the text on the icons cannot be changed however, as there are a few ships that look similar when scaled down to icon size. That was one thing that initially bugged me about the mod, but I've grown used to it.
This looks a lot better than the one for FoC, definitely.
I really disliked all the models n' textures in that one. Though I think that's been updated since.
It has, I think I remember your comments being around 1.0, which was like 6 years and 4-5 versions ago. The last release for that one was a major improvement (although itself 3 years old at this point), and the upcoming releases for both this and the FoC one even moreso. The models and textures here are the same ones as are in the upcoming FoC release.
Mmhmm. I'll definitely have to give it another try now! This one looks really good.
The ICW build currently available is still an old one, from 2013, however it too will be updated fairly soon.
