Hey folks! Today we're happy to announce a great update to Cry of Fear. It's including a lot of new things, such as 6 whole new campaigns, bug fixes and also a new album! The whole changelist can be seen further down on this news post.
Here below is the trailer for the new campaigns that have been released along with the patch.
Patch 1.5 changelist:
- Fixed stats giving you an F on custom campaigns
- Fixed saving error on monster_custom
- Added custom campaign: The Hole
- Added custom campaign: Her
- Added custom campaign: iSolation
- Added custom campaign: Hotel Terror
- Added custom campaign: Recidivist
- Added custom campaign: The Scrolls Of Shaimoon
- Updated custom campaign: Out of It

How to install patch 1.5
1. Launch the CoF app program (the shortcut that generates on your desktop when you install Cry of Fear). If you don't have the shortcut, you can manually find the .exe in this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\yourusername\half-life\CryOfFear\CoFLaunchApp.exe.
2. Once your launch program is up, simply click "CHECK FOR UPDATES", and it will download it and install it for you automatically. Once the install is done, restart Steam.

Campaign Competition Closed
The campaign competition have now been closed. We now have 9 campaigns that are participating.
Here's a list of those campaigns:
- HER
- iSolation
- Hotel Terror
- Recidivist
- Scrolls of Shaimoon
- Out of It
- The Stairway
- The Hole
- Community Collab.
The winner will be announced at September 28th.

We are also in great need of having servers up and running, to let people experience the awesome co-op modes.

Don't worry, this mod page is just controlled by the same noobs who created all these dumb campaigns. They don't like the people who say truth. The truth is that their maps suck. And they suck the same way.

You saying it won't happen is pure ******** and infact, makes it want to happen, first of all, source is the most modded engine out there, it gladly destroys frostbite and is the forefront of most modern mods today, especially BLACK MESA
The Frostbite engines are great engines, they are just more specialized than the Source, which was designed to be modular and easily moddable.
I just installed the game and updated it fully. When i opened the game it says "version 1.0" and there are only 2 servers with noone playing. Haven't 5 patches been released? why isn't my game updating correctly? help please
And all is based on good, old GoldSrc... it's just more than amazing. Great work. 8-)

Another patch full of newbie and cheap campaigns. FagDiePie will like it.
Can anyone help me? Every time when I am trying to set my Half life to OpenGL it goes to window mod and window pop up with someting like this "OpenGL mode is not supported, game will be now set to Software" Anyone know what to do?
By the time Cry of Fear reaches version 2.0, I say a full version update all in one file needs to be uploaded into Moddb. The 596 MB of the cumulative patch is getting too much.

can anyone help me? I can't save the game, I don't understand why, I'll put to save the game and it says "Game Saved" and when I look in Load game, there's nothing ! I have checked all updates automatically, I will need to download one manually? (Sorry for my english)
